Soft reset of top tier items: PoE is losing one of its key unique features!
" Exactly, Nerfing master crafting then pulling this move makes no sense. Feel like every 3 months a random dice is used. Forum pvp https://www.instagram.com/critterspencils/ Последняя редакция: lolozori#1147. Время: 10 июн. 2015 г., 08:28:58

" I heard sometime last week someone said GGG was mindful of the economy hence the removal of the hybrid master mod. Hilarious I'd like to see them eat their words now after this announcement. Recruiting for Archnemesis League/Siege of the Atlas!

" The hybrid master mods were removed in 1.3 http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1120457/page/1 " So are we going to get the hybrid mods back, legacy crit on amulets, etc back? |

I can't help but wonder what those of you who consider this to be losing a key feature of the game thought a fourth act in the game would contain.
The game's progression through the three acts and difficulties is one of getting access to higher level gear with higher level mods in each act (assuming you follow the intended leveling curve), leading to further progression in mods during the first ten levels of so of end-game mapping, after which all that is left is a grind for those with near infinite patience. This is a model that seem to have worked very well for them until now. So to me the natural assumption was that when they added a fourth act for higher level characters, they'd retain that aspect of their design. Which means that since the higher character levels in act 4 would cover some of the levels unlocking mods that currently become available during early mapping, they'd need to add new higher tier mods such that you'd still be unlocking new mods for the next levels as you leveled in the early mapping end-game (which would similarly be shuffled a few levels). Thus maintaining the game experience that has been successful so far for people leveling characters, which I consider the core game experience of ARPGs. And it seems to be what they are doing, so no complaints from me. But what did you, for whom this is considered the loss of a key unique feature, expect an act 4 to be like? Did you think that act 4 would not be for higher levels? That the leveling experience would be compressed to level all acts in the same number of levels as currently? Something else? I'm a fairly new player as these things go, having played the game for half a year, so I obviously don't have the experience with its ongoing development that many of you do, but due to work I've been following Path of Exile for longer than that and I remember some early talk from two years back when people were talking about four or five acts - I'd have thought it natural to assume that GGG would want to deliver more of the same good experience in act 4 as the previous 3 acts did, and that people would be prepared for that, but reading the first few posts of this thread it certainly doesn't seem so. (If the question of what was expected in act 4 has already been answered previously in this thread, my apologies; I only read the first three pages.) Последняя редакция: Pi2rEpsilon#4367. " There is a disconnect in the understanding here of most people that the introduction of how new top tier mods would be necessary at all and how that changes the levelling experience. Almost all people agree that mirrored gear is overkill. You don't need it what so ever. Everyone welcomes New Weapons bases and even the new mods to some extent, such as the one shown on that picture earlier this week. However to say that they will introduce new tiers higher than the existing ones concerns many that players will experience going through the motions of gear check for future content. Ultimately my point above effects permanent leagues the most but it does have a huge impact on the Challenge Leagues also. If people could finish current content and reach end game with mediocre gear that's not even considered close to being perfect at all, for example, a build using a 300 pdps dagger. But the introduction of new mods and scaling harder new=harder/tougher content will result in people needing to have 400 pdps daggers to finish the game with relative ease, then where does it stop? Does that mean people will be forced to attain gear closer to the perfect gear of Standadd i.e. The 555 pdps daggers such as Loath Bane? These things are considerably hard for the average player to work toward in Standard let alone Challenge Leagues, case in point being the 6xT1 Phys Crit Bow crafted in Torment. As OP also put it, most were almost blindsighted by this decision which goes against philosophies that drew many to this game. Many hold onto these such as "PoE has no p2w" and would turn their back to the game it ever changed. How would people react if they decided to sell account bound upgrades so you could have a second page of inventory for loot, when previously they've said they would never do that since they want people to make important decisions of what they pick up and keep while looting mobs. This is the slippery slopes and territory they're crossing at the moment. Recruiting for Archnemesis League/Siege of the Atlas!
