Running all auras

Remember to take off purity of fire and put on reduced mana when cast auras on the shield, then cast purity of fire after taking off the reduced mana.

I think it is theoretically possible:
Mana 0.46(alpha+passivess) x 0.71(reduced mana 20lv) =~ 306% can reserved
Live 0.46 x 0.71 x 0.75(prim) =~ 408%

Live 5 x 60%(shield socket limit) + 80%(doubled by blood magic) = 380%
Mana 2 x 60% + 4 x 40% + 144 = 280% + 144
Min mana =~ 1700
Min used sockets = 18

If you use BM node+Mortal Conviction to get the most out of your life, then unspeccing perhaps. Anyone wanna run the numbers for that.

It is possible to run then if you spec into the blood magic and mortal conviction with an alpha howl.

There are 7 60%, 5 40% and clarity 60-440 flat

Each 60% aura is

60 * .46 = 27.6 which rounds to 28
28 * .7 = 19.6 which rounds to 20
20 * .6 = 12% each 60

40% works out to be 8.4 so 9

12 * 6 = 72%
9 * 3 = 27%

Thats 9 auras down and 99 % life reserved.

spec out of it then 1 60% and 2 40% and clarity left.

20 * 1 = 20%
14 * 2 = 28%

Which leaves 52% for clarity but it will cost 2 regrets each time but doesn't require a prism guardian.

How do you get over 2k dps with an aura build?

Running auras with inner force makes them do almost double of what they say. Hatred adds 74% damage as cold damage at max level. Really easy to get the damage up there.

Without abusing snapshot, 11 Auras + Tempest shield is the most you can get. I currently run 11 Auras, Tempest shield is too much of a hassle since it drops with every zone change.

I'm guessing that all 13 could probably be doable with some heavy snapshot abuse.

No, 12 including Tempest Shield is the most you can run. It would include the absolute most snapshotting.

No you can run them all if you snapshot mortal conviction and blood magic in skill tree.

I use 8 right now on my low life ST.


Discipline/Anger/Hatred/Wrath/Haste/Purity of Elements/Clarity/Purity of Fire


I can add Purity of Lightning as well but it brings my mana reserve down to like 100 which isn't enough for my use. Once I solve the mana issue I'll be using that one as well for a total of 9.

(that's in a dps build, not just stacking auras for fun hehe.)
