Constructive feedback on 'fractured' (map mods)

Agree, but I could understand that a 'waste of time' alone is not enough to remove a mod.

It's like the temp chains map mod? It might be interesting but why have it as a map mod if all it does is just urk players? It's not super extra deadly or adds anything engaging.


I do not want to make a comparison with temporal chains for a single reason. If I get a map with great modifiers + temporal chains, I will do it. Yes it will take some more time, but I don't mind if its a 100+% quantity map.

Now the difference with fractured is, I wouldn't do it if it gave me +250% quantity because of the performance issues that it brings along. Doing such a map is basically guaranteeing getting killed because of desync issues.

At least try to remove all of the desync with it before putting it as a map mod.


They have to be aware of desync issues before they'll consider changing it ofcourse. Hence, this post..

Well your doing the temporal chains because not a super hard along with great modifiers, hence why all it does is just urk you for no real reason. I wouldn't reroll a temp chains + fracture one because I would hate playing it, I rather run a -max res + reflect map.

Desync is desync, I am surprised that they weren't aware that the mod does it. It's the same with abilities like cyclone, I'm pretty sure they were aware of it.

Well.. we won't find out to what extent they knew about the fractured-->desync/dc issues.

We can, however, give them feedback on the modifier and see if they're going to give it some attention.

Nobody likes desync, for a reason, yet GGG implements more new content prone to it, the logic.
When I saw this mod for the first time, I was like yes, finally some fun... Well over the time you realize that this mod does not provide you with anything. Only thing it does is wasting your time.

As Discharger I don't find it anyhow difficult. I simply kill all fractures with another discharge. Problem is that not all mnsters run into your room at once. They are coming and you are killing them and room is still full of monsters etc... It takes roughly 4-5 times longer than any other mod I can do (basically everything except Blood Magic, Elemental Reflect and Temporal chains which I personally hate... again wasting your time with no reward).

What I get in return? Nothing. Another "I can do but I wont" mode like Temp Chains.

BTW Did u guys meet Undying Evangelist with this mode? .... quite broken. I met this shit with monster pack size. I cant see this doable at all.

Didn't have the pleasure to visit Jungle Valley with fracture mode. Spider boss could be quite "fun".

Solution could be to split fracture to several modes. Monster fracture 2 times on death, monsters fracture 3 times and 4 times. Scale quality of these ACCORDINGLY! Actual form would deserve like 40% quantity compared to other mods.

I wouldn't do this mod if it gave me 70% quantity.. I don't have too many problems with maps taking a lot longer (yeah its damn annoying and I would prefer to skip it ofcourse, but still)..

The reason why I will never do this mod again is because of how it affects game performance (i.e., desync, bugged maps, dc on entering a map).

Fractured Mod is the uselesst mod i ever seen.

So i have to reroll now an additional mod on the maps, so i will lose more chaos orbs and get no reward for the implement of this stupid fracture mod on the other side, thank you GGG for nothing.

Temporal chains and reflect physical damage are extremly mortal mods, they will be have to reroll ever again and again, and now the next useless mod, so the patch gives more a disadvantage for the player than an advantage.
What's the quantity bonus on fractured?
Fractured mobs don't give souls, so it takes even longer without one of the new "elite" skills we can use. For me it's vaal cyclone+multistrike+bm+melee physical. it doesn't kill me, but it does dc me. Well the skill combo or fractured mod.

And, as if the dc from a map isn't enough,soloing so can't reenter, i also get like a rollback so the last couple of items i loot disappear.

Fractured is now on my shit list of map mods.

Indeed. Its not the 'useless' mod that I'm againgst heavily. Its more how it affects the game performance. Getting constant desyncs and disconnects because of a modifier is not something we should need in a game where ur investing a lot of currency in a map and deaths have a severe penalty.
