No. You don't have a buyout because you're hoping someone will come and offer twice the value of something you have listed. Stop crying when someone attempts to do to you what you're doing to others.

Let's not beat around the bush over your laziness. Even in my admittedly very minute transactions with other players it's very clear to me that there are people who want to actually sell the item - and others who are looking to gouge.

When you don't list buyouts - no matter your excuses - you are simply looking for 1) someone else to do your market research for you ON THEIR DIME - and then even still you disagree with their research and ask double the prices OR 2) looking for complete noobs who you can gouge based on their sheer naivety - and lets be honest here: in both cases you don't actually want to sell your item. You are just basically faffing around.

Like you can't take 2 mins to properly list your item - you are the one trying to sell it.



Oh - and just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them a troll. Just like you listing a thread like this doesn't make you a parasitic buffet.

It's quite pathetic to think that just because you don't have a buyout on items that you are lazy or don't want to spend some time to figure out the actual value of an item.

I can tell you that for someone who has made multiple shops threads (both Softcore and Hardcore 4 month leagues) that I don't want to put a buyout on something that someone doesn't want at my price when it may overpriced for someone else. Not to mention having to CHANGE every buyout as the time goes forward just because the price changes over time.

I personally have better things to do, such as trying to find more items to sell, than to spend time on the forums fixing every single buyout I had listed just to sell something when I could be finding more items to sell that might be worth more than 1 alch/fuse or 1 chaos compared to what's listed in my shop thread. If you don't want it, I'll let it rot in my stash or vendor it after awhile.

The rule of thumb of trading in Path of Exile is "the item you should be purchasing/selling is what YOU THINK it is worth, not what the others think". If you can't come to an agreement, either don't trade, find someone else that has a better value on it or meet halfway just to sell it.

You dont set a Offer and complain about getting lowballed. Lol.

You just sit there and wait for a Offer thats above the value of the Item to ripp off some stupid/near trader.



Same goes for the "Jerks" they dont have a B/o, i ask them "hey dude, whats the price for item xxx"

I hope you guys get lowballed till you have a price in mind for your items and dont counter a question about the price with a offer question to hopefully get highballed or just put b/o on your items.

In my 2yrs playing: I have only just started using XYZ since it's obvious trading is a necessity in this game and I'm so stubborn that it's taken me that long to come around - I don't own a shop - and probably won't even bother in the new 4 month leagues. I don't play Standard.

My basically 1.5-2 month experiences at the tail end of the last 4 month and now using it to buy some gems in the 1 month league I was clearly introduced to "how this works" - you don't have to be a genius to see... how brutal it is to deal with people who don't set buy outs. "offer" - gives offer "too low" - no rebuttal - no effort at all... it's clearly a case where someone is simply too lazy or just not interested in selling their item until they get some sucker who offers them double the value of the item.

It isn't rocket science here to see exactly why you list your shit with no buy out... even in the case where someone is ridiculously over priced - 10xChaos for Cast When Damage Taken - vs 5x players listing for 4x Chaos - if I don't get an answer from those 5 players MAYBE I might pop you a message if I'm feeling spunky and ready for verbal abuse... to let you know that your item is only worth 4 chaos....

Clearly you don't post a buy out because it works for you... in your favor... or so you think. For you, the price you pay is the ridiculously stupid low offers. So don't complain about it. You asked for it. You could take 2 mins and establish the value and let us know what you want for it - some type of starting point. You are the one running the shop. You should be the one setting the prices.

Thankfully - so far - there's been enough players online + verified + buyout that I never... fucking ever... have to deal with people who want to play the "offer" on your item game.

How a seller can complain when someone offers them a lowball, when they don't have a price attached is a bit silly on their part.
Almost every shop on the planet places prices on their items. If you can't be arsed (fair enough - a lot of items sometimes) then just make sure you don't find it annoying when people ask "how much?" or "price?". Why you deem this unreasonable is beyond me. The notion that the buyer should be searching for similar items to price it is backwards.

I suppose, if you don't want to sell it then it works fine?!!

Those stupid players who offered you 1c for Rat's Nest either don't know prices or just tried if you are more stupid than them.

Flipping is more like scanning market for good deals and reselling for profit.

This. Here are definition of trade words:

Offer: I have a minimum price set on my mind. I will not reveal it in the hopes that buyer may pay more than it.

Lowballing: I have an idea about the value of the item, and I just hope that seller is not aware of the worth and may accept my offer.

Both parties are pathetic, and neither has the right to complain about other.

I think, when asked what the price for my item is, it is up to me to set a appropiate price.
