Halezor Theorycraft Thread

Nothing to see here!

This build starts as Life oriented since you need it to level. You have to take energy shield as well, and eventually you will be pure energy shield and immune to chaos damage (which is huuuuuge).

Level fire trap and whatever other skill you like. There is gear and gems you will find that eliminate the need for some nodes, and there are some nodes (Burning damage, Ignite chance) you can take if the gear isn't there. Between the 12 respec points you earn and the currency we will find, it will not be a problem to respec later on.

Flame Surge also greatly benefits from Ignite and Burn, probably a good idea to level as well.

Gems to keep an eye out for: Elemental Proliferation, Concentrated Area, Incr. Burn damage, Chance to Ignite.

*******

First 31 pts, level 28ish (Spell damage, CRIT, some fire, life, energy shield)

52 Pts: Set up for CI, add fire, add life, add traps, add MOAR crit.

64 Pts: Life, energy shield, mana, fire damage and another 20% crit.

79 Pts: MOAR fire, MORE ES, double curse.

When ready: switch to PURE Energy Shield/Chaos Innoculation when gear is right. Need 9-12 respect points and/or Orbs of Regret...may not be ready at 79 points which is roughly lvl low/mid 60's

If the gear just isn't there or things are working well, stick with life. True end game, CI will be the way to go, but you can work tree so a switch is possible at any time. All of these paths keep the switch in mind ;)

87 Pts Pure ES/CI: Add 100% more crit, more ES. After this, you are tweaking and adding damage as you level up.

Level 80 is attainable from low level maps and grinding end game areas for loot. After level 80 you really need to play mid/hard maps to level effectively. That said, this build will play great at level 80. Everything above level 80 is making your guy UBER if you have the right build to level and the right gear to do it.

100 pts: Adds more fire dmg, 40% chance to crit, chance to ignite, and burn damage. Ignite and Burn can be taken earlier if needed.

107 pts: Switch mana clusters to take more trap damage and "Traps penetrate 10% elemental resistance" which would be big for end-game enemies. You could take this earlier too...ALL of this is flexible to a point ;)
