[Theory/WIP] Aura Knives - 1.2 Low Life EK Mortal Conviction with Solaris Lorica
This build is a theory at the moment but I think we can achieve some amazing survivability and damage using the new herald gems and auras.
The idea is to run a whopping 10 auras: *Grace *Determination *The three purity auras *Discipline *Hatred *Both heralds *Vitality Defense stats from lvl 19 aura gems: *12k+ armor from Grace + Determination *8% extra maximum resistance from the three purity auras *70% phys damage added as cold *15% (if affected by buff nodes then 18%) phys damage added as fire *bonus flat cold damage *3% life Regen 103 point tree summary: Stats: +120 to Strength +130 to Dexterity +300 to Intelligence Keystones: Blood Magic: Removes all mana. Spend Life instead of Mana for Skills Ghost Reaver: Life Leech applies to Energy Shield instead of Life Pain Attunement: 30% more Spell Damage when on Low Life Unwavering Stance: Cannot Evade enemy Attacks Cannot be Stunned Iron Reflexes: Converts all Evasion Rating to Armour. Any ideas on how to mitigate this? Or should we be doing spectral throw? |

any idea how much life regen you'd actually need here?
I mean u could simply invest a few more passives. Shaper, maybe Warrior's Blood from marauder area, Heart of Oak is also quite close. You could also just simply use Aruku Tiki, 1% regen on low life + 2-4 flat per second |

" OK so you have these links: Assuming all lvl 19 gems *EK 34 mana *Spell Echo (1.3) *Faster Casting (1.2) *Life Leech (1.3) *Faster Projectiles (1.1) = 76 mana Total cast speed = 24% (from tree) + 38% (from faster casting)= 62% * 1.68 (spell echo) = 104% cast speed. This means we consume 76 Mana roughly every .8 seconds (spell echo is basically canceled out) so thats 95 mana per second. We Regen at 30 per per second. With aru tiki it's only 44 per second. |

" Right, Faster Casting isn't exactly the most mana friendly option there, might want to replace it with empower/added fire. SO 44 per second, invest a point into shaper(1%), just 1 extra point with that. Heart of Oak needs 2 points for it, another 1 % there. Those would bring it up to 64/sec also note that you'll probs end up having more than 1000hp, more like 1300 - 1400. With 1300 hp it'd already be 82/sec. Basically you may want to actually aim for a bit of max life in gear. |

You have very little understanding of game mechanics if you think this build will ever work.
It's not the worst I've seen, but it's among them. It fails both in survivability and damage output. Survivability: 1-You are supposed to be an ES/low life build, but you invest lightly on ES. You missed half of the ES nodes in the tree. 2-You are lowlife, still, you took some life nodes. That's literally a waste. 3-With blood magic you'll be able to support 3, maybe 4 auras. That's it. Then, with the minimum life you have left you'll be spending it on a mana-hungry spell such as EK. You'll probably cast yourself to death 4-You skill-travel all across the tree to pick up defensive nodes that don't even support each other. Decide on one survivability path and stick to it. Damage: Zero damage. You took very few damage bonus skills. This isn't a pacifist's game. Ethereal knives is a spell that inflicts physical damage. My personal game style with EK is Self-Cast/max Critical/max Power Charges with dual Voidbattery wands. This, can get you up to 60k DPS easily. Your skill choices will barely get you to 2k. Scrap the whole thing, turn a new page. Btw, I find Shadow to be better positioned to EK related skills, even better with Master's Expansion. Cheers. |
