Map i dont like you

Hi there,

whats your pov on the worst map? Just run a T16 Savannah with burning ground. Terrible. Cant see anything, everything looks the same, cant see fire spots. Constantly draining life. Will never do this again. I swear.

Looks cool but…. Functionally not healthy for a game where you can’t stand still/have to dodge ground effects or attacks

Rares you have to lure out of them or you’ll get stuck
theres a unique map that was supposed to boost EXP but it seems like a worse experience overall than other normal maps.

I want them to make the tower maps just a bit longer, and change the icon on the map to match the biomes. I think the straight winding lane map that the towers are now is kinda cool and I wouldnt mind assaulting the front line for longer to get the the top.
Vaal Factory.

Vaal Foundry + Delirium infusion.

Factory is just too dark and too big with low mob density.

Foundry has the same issue, tiny rooms full of terrain blockers and a few mobs. It's also bugged in the sense that if you do not kill all rares before you do the boss, you bricked the map. You can't leave the arena to kill the last rare - all you can do is leave the game and rejoin from the start - unless you dropped a portal in the arena, then it's gg.
Maps with too many choke points or you can't dodge or run out of the way due to terrain.

Augury, that spider forest, Vaal Foundry. That one with the huts that block your view and canopy is annoying not being able to see where the mobs are due to the tree blocking or hut blocking the view.

I just skip these or put a low level waystone in them to get it out of the way but it really stinks when a breach spawns on here.

It seems there are tiers of map that people would agree are better vs others.
Augury with the stupid rooms and levers is the worst...

then next Mire and Savannah.

i also dislike all the forest maps because skills get stuck everywhere.

Honestly 80% of the Maps are trash designed....


Augery but IMO over half the maps are bad. Having stone towers and trees in my face is a terrible experience.
PoE 1 is the best. PoE 2 is something.
Too many bad layouts just to name one.

It's like they looked at PoE 1 statistics, saw that Cells, Dungeon, Mineral Pools, Ancient City, Lava Chamber, Necropolis and Garden (just to name a few) and though "hey, no one plays those maps because they are bad, lets force them to run them in PoE 2".

Map design/layouts is hands down the worst part of PoE 2. And while it's EA and a lot can change, just the fact that they designed them like this from the get-go is crazy and... Historyless, in lack of a better word. I don't often say this (and mean it), but I'm honestly shocked by both the designed and the decision to "go with it".

Vaal factory I think it is, the one with the platforms where you can get shot at but have to walk down half the map to find the way up
Vaal city, should be chopped in half, lose the area beyond viper
The map with the sun in it aaaargh I hated that place so much in campaign, they even kept the stairs in it
