The giant ape boss (mighty silverfist in campaign) needs a nerf

Problem:
As has happened three times before, I died several times in a row against this boss and lost several hours of progress in a matter of seconds. I didn't lose a single waypoint portal until I reached the boss, and then I lost them all in quick succession. And it always happened during his first attack. This probably doesn't affect all characters/builds, but as a slow warrior with strong two-handed attacks, this boss is pure luck (rng). If he uses his charged strike attack first, the fight is already lost. If not, it's doable, because then you can dodge all his other attacks (including the heavy strike attack). It only affects this one attack right at the start of the fight, because 1) he runs up extremely fast and uses it before you can even reach him, and 2) due to his very strong “pursuit” of the player (telegraphing), it is impossible to dodge him with a slow character. Since I can dodge this attack (charged attack) several times during the fight but fail every time at the beginning, something is going terribly wrong—specifically, the start of the fight. Additional info: I have 80% physical damage reduction on my armor and still get 1-hit KO'd. Suggestion/solution: 1) His first/initial attack should never be this heavy attack, or only extremely rarely. 2) The telegraphing needs to be weaker so that you have a chance to dodge even from a distance. 3) The attack must be weakened so that you are not 1-hit. One of these two points is enough. and by the way he deals roughly 800 damage, if you get about 900 life he will not one shot you |

" I seriously think that GGG is not going to change anything with this boss. The reason is because many players have already learnt the art of dodge rolling to avoid the "red" attack of the boss. And also, there is another group of players that simply one-shot and delete the boss before the boss can cause any threat at all. Since a sizable population of players can easily defeat the boss, I don't think GGG will make any changes to this boss. Most likely, your only hope is to learn how to dodge roll and evade the "red" attack. If you cannot do that, your next option is probably have a build good enough to one-shot the boss before it kills you. If you still cannot do that, then the next option is to ask people in chat to kill the boss for you or you can also consider skipping the boss and thus failing the map as well. The downside is that you lose out on waystone sustain when you skip the boss. 34pre98qua

Its not a skill issue It s a bullshit one shot mechanic from a company out of ideas. It tracks the attack spinning with the attack held in the air. It is out of sync with the animation, It exceeds the length of the pillar he swings by 50% The danger area is never known or shown, Its a shit mob, no accident everyone avoid it. Just like you don't get on a roller coaster with the wheels falling off. Cause they are BROKEN. Every boss is the same boss reskinned. A one shot with a tail , a one shot with different voice lines , a one shot with a purple glow. All maps are dropped by the one shot. So creative , kind of like mario brotheres ..... There should be no 1-shots in the game, honestly. These always feel like dumb and lazy game design decisions in pretty much every game.

Body blocking mob spam on top of the player. Minions the spawn non stop on the player while the parent mob is 1/2 a screen away. And a whole bunch of other jank bullshit that makes the game smelly. |

" It's a skill issue when pinnacle bosses are more easy than this stupid ape? Sorry, but this doesn't sound right. Like I said, it's rng depending on his buffs (due to map), his initial attack and the personal build. You won't have these problems with fast fighters/sorcerers or skills like blink. I have 80% armor and about 2k life and he still does one shot me. I am not talking about the campaign ape but the one in the endgame map, "Zekoa the headcrusher". When I am fighting him already I can dodge his charged attacks (all of them) but the first one is different than the rest, it's faster and he is directly following me. I can sprint into him, I can run away, I can dodge roll all the time, nothing I can do to evade his attack - only when I am close enough but I can't get close enough when he is doing this attack from like 10m away. Only exception is if he has like 500ms or 1 s delay at the start. Then it's possible to get close enough so the rest of the fight is a piece of cake. |
