Anarchy/Onslaught Challenges Ranking - Final

First, you should choose which league you want to farm in end game. I chose the anarchy league because of 3 reasons.
1. I think my reaction was not very good and i am not confident that my char never died in farming maps. That would let me slower if my char died.
2. You cant get a very nice gear with high survivability and high IIQ/IIR at early game. A gear with only high IIQ/IIR is easier to get.
3. I need to spend much time searching rouge exiles if i farmed maps in onslaught.

About challenges

1.Slay the Rogue Exiles

Just farm maps and then you can meet all rogue exiles.

2.Own these Unique Items
a.
If you focus in this challenge, you don't need to farm too high level maps. you can sell lv72+ maps. It will help you to get the more uniques. Remember to let your IIQ/IIR be the maximum you can do at last hit.
b.
If you have many currencies in the other league, try to exchange them to onslaught/anarchy league.
c.
Keep searching the uniques you didn't own per hour or 30 mins. It's very important! Sometimes, you can get an unique for a very cheap price. For example, i traded my 71% andvarius for dream fragments. (I bought andvarius for 1exalt) If you try to trade 1ex for dream fragments, it's impossible.

3.Reach Level 60 in Onslaught
If you chose farming maps in anarchy, you don't worry about the Strength of the build at end game. You can choose a nice build at level 1-60. I could further explain my builds if many people are interested.

4.Items from Vendor Recipes
This challenge is easier than the other.
Divine from Tabula Rasa
Regal from a full set of gears at itemlevel 75+
Scouring - Many people have the question about this orb. Using your regal at magic gear with one mob and then sell it!

5.Use each Map
You can get every map if you have a fixed map group. Actually, i don't. A group help me to finish it. I thank them very much.

6.Full-clear in any Difficulty
This challenge is very funny. :) I finished it alone. You can finish it quickly with a party.

7.Allocate these Passives
If you want to have more fun, you should try many different builds to finish this challenge. I want to be faster, so i chose the another method. Level up a char to lv16-20, and then you have about 20 passive points and 2 respec points from a dirty job. You can finish the passive points near every class. But remember! it's very boring. QQ You need to creative over 20 characters.

You should get 1 power charge from "Deal whith the bandits" mission and use void battery.
When you hv 8 power charges, you can get
142% spell damage - 140% from 8 power charges, 2% from passive point(spell damage per power charge)
109% critical strike chance - 59% from unique, 50% from additional 1 power charge
20% Cast speed

I think it's not easy to get the better rare wand than this unique.

But there are still few problems about the build.
1.I didn't pick the "unwaverling stance" passive point. You are easy to be stunned and then died.
2.Your damage is the worse before you get 5 power charges. It's important that how to get 8 power charges quickly.

My solution
In order to avoid being stuned, i need to choose a ranged spell. So my solution is "ice spear". It owns very high base spell critical cnance.

This's my stat.
Ice spear - critical chance (0 charge) / critical chance (8 charges)
first form - 32% / 60%
second form - 74% / 102%

You can get 8 power charges quickly about 1-2 sec. You maybe ask me why not choose "freezing pulse". The only reason is "not pick the unwaverling stance passive point". You must approach the monsters if you use freezing pulse.
You can see the critical chance of the ice spear in second form with 8 power charges is 102%. Every monster will be frozen when you hit them. that let you safer.
Besides, i am low life and using righteous fire. You can use many auras by low life and raise much damage from righteous fire.

Finally, i don't suggest you use this build in onslaught. :)

Marauder

If you have read my experience in this thread, you could know my reaction isn't very good. And i completed this challenge alone. So i need a build with high survivability to help me. My first char in onslaught referred to this guide, ETUP's EK build. (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/212728)
I think this build is very op, because he didn't pick any pure increased damage point. Don't worry about your damage. I had realized this build alone at one month race. My weapon was here.


(My goal was set to kill merciless piety and i completed at lv72) You can start to use EK at about lv45 and use heavy strike/ Ground slam before lv45. If you cant get a good spell weapon, you can still use heavy strike/ Ground slam. (same as me at this time)
**Heavy strike /Ground slam linked melee physical damage/ faster attack.

Duelist

My main skills are dual strike/ cleave. If you have the problem about mana, try to pick blood magic or get atziri's foible unique. atziri's foible is the first choice, because you can use the more auras.

Templar

I wanted to try kripp's discharge build originally. I think it's very good build and funny. but i changed my mind when i got this mace.


I decided to use the experienced build, heavy strike/ ground slam with mace. I could save much time to let my templar achieve lv60. You can use ice nova before lv20. It's pretty good skill at early game.
I didn't pick iron reflexes passive point, so try to equip pure armor gears.

Ranger

I referred to this guide, Gankstaboo's Ranger Guide (RoA, LA) 18k DPS RoA Ranger. (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/311187). And my passive tree couldn't be refered after 0.11.2 patch.

If you have same goal as me(just complete this challenge), you should try to get the better leveling weapon. The tip is same as unique challenge, keep searching the weapons you wanted per 1-2 hours.

Shadow

I want to use lighting strike/ double stike build with dagger originally. I referred to this guide, CI Crit Dagger Shadow. (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/42623) But i worried about its survivability. After i got the nice leveling bow, i decided to use frenzy/lighting arrow build with bow.
You can use normal attack/ poison arrow/ split arrow before lv19. You don't need pick accuracy passive point at early game.

Witch

I used many skills for leveling up witch.
Lv 1~18 - fire trap/fireball at single, fire trap/ice nova at multi
LV19~30 - fire trap/fireball at single, fire trap/ ice spear(linked lmp) at multi
Lv31-45 - fireball(link concentrated effect) at single, fire trap/ice spear(linked lmp/faster casting) at multi
Lv45-60 - Pick ancestral bond passive point about lv45, and then use dual spark totem.(linked faster casting/lighting pen/fork/spell totem)
I suggest you prepare flame totem/lmp/knockback. (leveling up them at secondary weapon slot) you will need them at killing cruel oak and after picking ancestral bond passive point.

Hi, i want to say something to everyone :)

I always try to set a goal and do my best to finish it. No matter what the final result was, i don't regret. (Even if i didn't finish it) When i knew the news about onslaught/anarchy league and the challenges, i told myself that wow, these is a achievement system! i love it. I can try to finish few challenges. I made advance preparations including which league i should choose to farm maps in, my builds in onslaught etc.

I have shared many experiences in this thread. I tried to do my best and let me not regret the result i got. When i almost completed 7 challenges, i tried to know how many people have completed all challenges. After i got some messages from forum, i found maybe i can get a good rank. So i tried to complete "the Allocate these Passives" challenge faster. I didn't know i have a chance to be the first, because GGG didn't reply the thread. When Qarl replied the message "We have checked, just to be sure. I can confirm you are the first to complete all challenges.", i am so surprised.

I never thought i can get a good rank in completing all challenges originally. If you read my builds in onslaught, you could know i can always learn many things from top players and streamers. Because of this reason, i think i am never the better than them.


About kripp

Someone said i beat kripp, i didn't think so.
I knew kripp from D3. He killed the diablo first at hardcore. I joined POE because of his livestream. Now, i almost follow his livestream everyday. I learned many builds and things from his livestream. Kripp does the challenges, the race, and shares his builds at the same time. I think i can't be the better player than him in my life. I treated him with respect.

It's funny when i remember how i was a random player stuck on merc farming mud flats because of the big number of rares that area can spawn.

Now i have every unique for uniques achievement, including : Andvarius, Thunderfist, Shavronne's Wrappings..

Rise of the Pheonix, Aegis Aurora, Alpha's Howl, Bringer of rain.. !

1) First of all it was my build, my build is an attempt to make a character on a non HC league doing maps and leveling as much as he can without one single life node and with 0 ES. ( eldrich battery )

I succeeded in making it leveling till merc lunaris 2 ( level 71 ), I succeeded in beating Vaal merc with 0 death on the combat.

Physical was easily handled, with Immortal call and endurances charges.
Cold was never that hurtful because i had seething flasks and was trying kill monsters before they deal that much of cold dmg. I had Freeze immunity, and Chill immunity if needed.
Fire was the easiest to beat with Arctic Armour. Even if AA reduce the fire dmg taken it did not prevent ignite status which is hurtful, so i was using an Ashrend unique chest when needed.

lightning dmg was the problem.

basically, i wanted to "nullify" all sources of damages, so i can run freely kiling all monsters with a max of 650 life through all the game.

Lightning on Barracks was a little problem and it was aswell on maps.
Ghudda suggested to me to get Rejuvenation totem, wich proved powerful for my build ( 100 life / sec ), 5-6 sec = my life is full. I was finally able to do Barracks : each lightning hit was doing 150-200 life loss. It gets tedious when you have to juggle between rejuv totem-avoiding chargers-using enduring cry-using immortal call-And killing monsters.

So yeah even with my status immunities and my huge ele resistances, lightning was annoying.

That's why i went asking if there was anything that would raise lightning res besides the usual stuff here :

2 days later, Divination Distillate Unique first flask came and answered my question with +6 all max ele resists.

Final note : on my build i was running 00-50 iir and 00 IIQ,( only got 50 iir because of Aurseize otherwise i should have 0-12 ~~~~ ) i did that because i think that iir is not important on early levels.

2) The ring!




Someday, someone called Calm__Assertive was spamming several number of items on chat, each one selling for 1 jewel.

I bought from him Four items including the ring. I flipped for the first time an item, 6gcp 9 jewel i got at the end from selling the ring. The buyer needed resists on Merc he said ( we were still at the beginning of Anarchy ) I felt i should not get that much benefits so i gave him back 1 gcp.
SO i bought from A the ring for 1 jewel
sold it to B :6gcp9jewel
gave A : 1 gcp
Gave B : 1 gcp

I went back to calm__assertive (B) and gave him 1 gcp, i explained to him the situation then he said thx for your honesty or whatever he said. I don't know who is the one who suggested, but we agreed on this : I would sell for him an item and get a cut from the selling. Trust was established. And since he did not like to spend his time trading, so.. it was a win-win.

I had the luck to sell for him a gg WAND, at time i did not know it was but asking a high level player on my friend list proved to be a good thing, he is saying : 2-4 ex :o

I sold out the item for 2.5ex equivalent.

Used maligaros virtuosity from the trade to buy an Andvarius ( Finnaly :) ) but in the meantime Divination Distillate came out.

I traded My Andy ( :( ) for a Divination, it had a good roll btw.
Since all divinations had the same +max ele res, i did another flip without even noticing, i found a buyer + a seller : SO i sold it for 3ex 11 gcp and bought another low roll for 3ex. 11GCP won by trading _woh_.
After that i got an Abyssus from him and only low uniques. He did not get more gg items. But it was an important event for my ascension.

3) This time it will be my work 100%, during a race when some players were absent i found what it seemed to be a very nice spell mace, thanks to calm_assertive and the guy who price checked me i knew this was some kind of very good item.
I had 1 ex left from calmassertive's wand ( i did not pay him back, yet), i sold it for 7-8 times its price. (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/454905/page/1)
I went back to the buyer and gave him 1EX. ( it proved useful later.. :o karma ? )

This one was easy because i was on Anarchy. If my memory is right i found 12/13 of them and bought one : Damoi Tui, from that guy named : SEXCALIBURE ( yes forum guys play the game aswell :o )

The rarest Exile is : Igna Phoenix, but i was lucky enough to find her at my first merc barracks. I sold it for 2 guys aswell, about 2-3 gcps.. we killed it.

Note : All exiles i found were outside maps.
Save the pets.

Using an Eternal and an Exalt when you don't need is upsetting.
I ended by asking a random player to let me use HIS item and HIS exalt and i would offer MY eternal, and IF the exalt was succesful he would pay me a few gcps and if not i will just use the imprint and give him back his item not exalted.
Surisignly i was able to spare my ex and found someone : katsumg ( chinese or russian or something like that ) Accepted. At that time i met Reboticon( hi :p).

The fastest way to level i know and i'v heard of is using Facebreaker.

During my leveling sessions i met some strong players with nice dps, nice dps = ofc faster exp gain.
I saw some fire based searing touch builds. ( firetrap/ DISCHARGE )
i saw some cleaver builds aswell.
VERY SPECIAL THANKS to : ZODRAC never seen a nicer person ! RIP his OS char.. and his other friends dead chars. Did not see him around after he ripped^^

Not big deal, if you can't get items ilvl 75+ you had to ask someone who do maps level 73+ to sell to you rare items.
Or just buy crafting items with high ilvl and alch them if you can.

The other stuff is easy except selling a 6L.
2 options :
-Buy a crappy 6L.
-Buy a tabula Rasa.

This may prove hard for most players.
Some stop at maps level 74, some at 75 and some others at maps 71( like me, with my strange build )

Hardest area to clear is : River crossing! I remember doing the map 2 times again searching for that last monkey.

The asiest way to do it ( and you can still do it if you want to get a star before leagues end ) is :

Make a party of 6 players.

Player 1 go to area 1
Player 2 go to area 2
Player 3 go to area..
Player 6 go to area 6.

Then :

Player 1 use /ramining and tell the other when there is only 1-2 monsters left.
They come and the last monster is killed : everyone get the clearance.
Player 1 go to Area 7.
Player X do the same as player 1 and when they are finished he go to area 8..

and so on!

I did it with a friend sometimes and with another guy some other time.

Oh god!

2 options :
**Use 30 EX equivalent of regrets. You only have to get a node once you can after that unallocate it ( not sure about this word ) and allocate your points to another node.
**OR ! Level a bunch of chars to level 20-21

Here is how you do it fast :

Ask a friend to rush you from beginning to fellshrines act 1 normal.
You enter, get a tp to mud flats, open the underground passage with the three glyphs.
Now you can enter Ledge, take waypoint. Wait till your high leveled skilled friend ( Hyperbear ) reach Brutus.
get a tp to brutus NEXT ROOM. He kill it and you get the quest, no need to go outside the prison, come back to town quickly.
Take tp to Cavern of wrath, take waypoint. And wait in town
Take tp for merveil. he kills it and you get the quest. Go back to town
Your friend use wp to go town act 2, he enter forest through town ( not throught wp ) he tp you at the enterance of town. Enter.
Take tp to fellshrines.
Now you can Level up freely and quickly ( you could reach level 20 in 30 min ), to make this even more efficient, you can rush 4-5 chars at once ( Hyperbear had this crazy idea ) :
Your friend go to brutus, you get the quest. unlog to another char while your friend is going back to LOWER PRISON to open a new insance for a new Brutus kill.. do that for the other chars and other quests.

Ok what do you need : ?

From level 1 to level 4=


( 2X blackhearts )

+ Burning Arrow/Poison Arrow maybe not sure about level required.
+ Split arrow if you can.

From level 4 to level 10 :



At level 10 you can use





You have to use karui Ward for the DEX needed.
And The ring for Mana. ( you don't need it with Silverbranch )

At this level you can go Coves from cavern wp and do 2 runs to get level 11-13
Now you can do 1-2 runs of Forest
Finally go to fellshrines and reach level 21.

IMO : you will get more EXP playing alone when you can 1-2 shot multiple pack of monsters that easily.

Notes :

- Do not level up your gems, level 1 is enough. this way you will be able to use them for other chars.
- Don't bother allocating your points. Just wait you level to 20-21 then do it ( unless you need a quick node with DEX/INT )

So how did i do.. ?

This is going to surprise more than 1 person but no more than 90% of the uniques were bought! Not all challengers bought their items, i talked with some other Stars seekers and i found that there were several ways to achieve what seems to be "the" impossible :

- You either play A LOT ( some guy told me he bought only 10 uniques out from the 90, holy cow! )
- You either Borrow some of the uniques from a friend who does not care about the challenges.
- You either try to trade your uniques ( not needed for challenge ) with uniques you need like did Enki91 here : http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/501663/page/1 Unfortunetaly, he may not be able to finish in time. ( You can do it! And you will!)
- Or You buy them all because you can.
- If you are an Onslaught player and have some a little wealth there, then you convert your ex to Anarchy ex's with a rate of 2:1 and buy the items you need for half the price.
- You are/were a very good wealthy player on Standard/HC, then make a cross-trade and get the ex on the approriate league and buy the uniques left.

Ok how did you do to buy all this uniques ( questioning myself ) ? ( and Shavronne's wrappings :/ ? )
Well, the answer would be : I became VERY VERY good at flipping items.

TO explain to you how it works i will put a basic example :
buy Rainbowstrides for 1.5 ex and sell it in chat for 2EX.
It may take 10 minutes or several days.

Some examples :
Buying a divination for 2-2.5 ex and selling it for 2.5 (in a hurry) or 3-3.5ex

The thing that gave me an edge was my friends :

- "Friends Power", If you don't have the right amount to buy a cheap very pricy item how do you do ? Well you borrow currencies. Your friends must trust you first then trust you will succesful fliping that item.

PROMO1987, who knew when to trust me and gave me 3 ( was it 4 ? ) EXs, after i turned that 3 to 5EX, we agreed that i keep the 5EX and try to turn them into a higher amount of EXs.
His birthday came and i gave him an EXTRA EX from his benefits.


Lately ( after he saw me flipping a mirror ) he trusted my trade skills again and lend me 15 ex for an item i bought ans sold out the next hour for 29EX.
gave him back like 16-17 ex, so everyone wins.
2 days ago, he lend me 26EX ( YEAH 26..... )

Holy shit lol

I had one main character I decided to make on Anarchy, it was a physical cleaver. I had a few alternatives but none were played even close to the amount I played my cleaver. When I made this character there weren’t too many of them around and while they were still kind of popular, it was before the recent rush we seen about two months into the leagues. Prior to this character, I had never played melee or a duelist so there was a pretty substantial amount of information I learned while making this cleaver. I played this character solo most of the time but I did run with my brother who was a wander quite a bit toward the end; I also ran a little with a great group of people I met in a Teamspeak server. Overall though, ~70-80% of my grinding was done solo early on.

The clear speed of a cleaver is just incredible; it’s faster than anything else I have ever played. (I haven’t made a CI Discharger, I know) My gear is pretty mediocre (linked below)in my opinion; it’s nothing real great so this was a surprise. I usually ran with ~50% IIR/IIQ in most maps when I was soloing. I ran hundreds of 66-69 trying to build a pool of 70s to start my climb to the top of the map pool. I started the game in standard and quickly learned it was very hard to keep a map pool around so I was determined to not let that happen here. Around this time is where my stance on the challenges flip-flopped and I chanced a Soul Taker which gave me such an adrenaline rush I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I had never found an item that instantly generated so much wealth so this was incredibly exciting to me. I ended up selling this for 20 exalts, so now, I was motivated to try to complete all 8 of the challenges.

On August 12th as I got into my 70 map pool I had about 25 or 30 to start with, my brother had about 25 also. I ended up purchasing an additional 18 level 70 maps for an exalt and 9 71s for an exalt. I honestly thought that would be enough to push me to the top; Long story short, it wasn't. It actually only got me through every 75 map. At this point I was bummed, and I was starting to lose hope because buying the last 4 maps I needed to open was going to cost me around 10 exalts which I couldn't afford and still purchase all the uniques I needed. Nevertheless, I purchased a 76 Creamatorium map for 2 exalt which RNG rewarded me for. I rolled the map for maze and magic monsters and this one map produced 2 Shrines, a Shipyard, a Necropolis, and two 74s. I was amazed and excited again, it was exactly what I needed for the final maps other than Precinct which I got in one of those maps. Maps challenge complete!

Keep in mind, this is just for the maps I opened. I was taking turns opening maps with my brother, so while I opened over 110, I probably ran about 220 above level 70.

I'd like to remind everyone that I spent very many chaos rolling maps. Sometimes I would spend up to 25 chaos trying to roll certain mods for 1 map in the 71-74 level. I never tried to just run it, always roll maze/larger/magic/pack size.

Going forward, according to a spreadsheet my brother and I wrote up we still needed to generate around 57 exalts of currency to get the Shavs and the rest of the uniques. This was based on Shavs being 33-35 exalt at the time. So while I'm waiting on my brother to get on I decided to run a few scrub maps while he drove home from work. In my first map of the night, a 68 Springs, I chanced a Voltaxic Rift and wow. Same as before, my heart started racing and the adrenaline started flowing. This was about two weeks after the bow was entered into the game so this was a huge gain for me. I ended up getting around 18 exalt for it unlinked. At this point, I had about enough currency to get the rest of the 5 or 6 bigger uniques I needed so I was pretty much there.

My brother and I ended up running maps the rest of the night anyways just because we didn't actually know how much the Voltaxic Rift was worth at this time. So we were pretty much just burning up the rest of the maps I had left over and we ran a 74 Maze. The Maze maps are difficult for my cleaver seeing how a smash would 1-hit me so the boss was tricky but do-able. So here we are on this 74 Maze map where Vaal killed me once with a smash and we eventually finish him off and what drops?

Anyways, this put me 25ish exalts over what I calculated for what I needed for the uniques. So thus begun the buying of the uniques and finishing the rest of the challenges. All the rest of the uniques was quite easy since I had extra currency to pay for them. I regretted everything I couldn't cleave on a duelist in the passive tree (200 regrets) which only took an hour or two. I already started all the Ons characters and had them all around level 40 up to this point. So the rest was just grinding out the rest of those levels. I had one RIP on Onslaught, it was a level 11 witch lol. I desynced around a wall and got trapped. Oh well, nothing lost. Here's the breakdown for the what I did for every character:

Witch: Fireball using Searing Touch
Templar/Marauder: Ground Slam. Both identical builds and used the same gear.
Duelist: Cleaver of course :)
Ranger: Cleaved till 40 then switched to Lightning Arrow
Shadow: Cleaver

Overall the Onslaught challenge just took time; they were tedious and boring. You play so safe because you don't want to lose a character but its just boring to do that. Took about 20 hours on each character. The easiest was Fireball Witch by far, hardest was probably Shadow, I don't think it's meant to cleave. Also, I'd like to thank Billy @bigbill19 for the Onslaught help.

That was it! The last thing I had to complete was my last Onslaught character, that put me at 8 challenges! Woohoo! When it comes down to it, it just takes an unbelievably amount of time and effort to complete. Congratulations to all that made it to 8!

7: Full Clears: Took like 2 or maybe 3 days tops...also found an exalt while doing this in the Vaal Pyramid.

8: Allocate the Passives: Found a guy selling 200ish regrets, I bought them, regretted everything I couldn't cleave on a duelist.

Overall, funnest character I've played in PoE so far. Clear speed is incredible, DMG is decent and easy to get, Leap Slam+Faster Attacks+Blood Magic makes crossing large areas very fast. Just fun all around. The alphas howl is the big downfall of my setup, but I really liked the cannot be frozen and it gave me a bit of extra mana to work with; which really helped on half regeneration maps.

/played time was around 22 days, or 550 hours or so.
