Vaal Burning Arrow lags when cast (not only first time cast).

It seems that (for me at least) Vall Burning Arrow 'freezes' the game for a while like some skills (fixed for now) before.



FPS spikes are Vaal Burning Arrow explosions. Otherwise i run game stable at 31 fps (capped) basically no matter what is on screen.

It looks very similar for old lags with discharge, corpse explosion etc...

What is weird that sometimes this skill explodes without any framerate hit and sometimes (but preety often, especially when there is a lot of mobs) it freezes game for half second.

If someone could look at this and fix this like you ficex all other skills it will be awesome.
Im not checked Molten Shell and Vaal Molten Shell but i suggest to look inte these effects as well.

My Specs: AMD 2x3,0Ghz, nVidia 550Ti 1GB RAM, 4GB RAM - game runs perfectly stable at 1440*900 res.

PS. If i will find any other lagging skill i will post it here too.


PS2. There are still issues with micro-freeze when opening lockboxes (especially when Exile Rogue is spanwed. I think its not your job Russel to code stuff like that (preloading, etc..) but if you have some time you may pass this to coders or smth.

PS3. YES i rum PoE from Kingston SSD. So its not HDD issue (and like i said its only this one skill so far - even unfamous Disharge dont lags at all).

Also always when i cast portal woth:


the game freezes for a microsecond (and the portal is loaded).
Same with Strongboxes. The lag/freeze when the rogue exile is loaded can be even 1 sec.


After some testing with shortcut switches and texture quality i realized that this also may be audio/sound issue (the lag when load occurs may be because sound is loaded not graphics).
Maybe sound guy can look into this.
I play with --softwareaudio, without this command these lags are worse i think.

Tommorow i will try to switch off to my old Audigy card and we will see how audio will behave.

I just checked and:

- Vaal Molten Shell - no lags and freezes at all
- normal Molten Shell - no lags and freezes at all
- Molten Shell tha monster uses - no lags and freezes at all

So problem definitely is in Vaal Burning Arrow skill. :)

This issue still occurs. It would be really nice to play with this skil without any lag or fps drops. As some other skills got fixed I was hoping an update could come with less fps drops when this skill is cast. Pretty please as a nice xmas present? Thanks
