Extra Gore Weapon Effect with Spells???

Hi, I am curious to know if the extra gore weapon effect applies to all spells especially to the spell gem flameblast. I was thinking of adding the effect to a searing touch. Any ideas?

If the extra gore is anywhere on your equipment (for example on weapon), you will unlock the gorier animations :D
Unarmed for life! (although I do like maces too recently)
