Patching Error

Keep getting error messages every time the game patches. Have reinstalled once before and the game works. The latest error is:
Could not overwrite executable with new patched executable. Please make sure that PathOfExile.exe or PathOfExile.tmp is not running. If necessary, you may need to reboot your computer. Im running windows 8. Can anyone help? Last bumped26 авг. 2023 г., 19:29:21

If you have a PathOfExile.tmp file, delete or rename the PathOfExile.exe file and change the tmp to be exe. Then make sure you're right-clicking and selecting " Run as Administrator".

Tied what you said, but it said the .tmp file is open in the system and can not be deleted

Reboot your PC and try again.

Now I get this error:

Hi there!
As this issue appears to occur on each instance you attempt to patch the game, it may be related to any current firewall or Antivirus software running on your system at the time of attempting to patch the game. It may prove pertinent in this situation to open your internet browser and enter the link displayed in the crash window (for example: patch216.pathofexile.com:8095/patch/0.10.1.3/CrashUpload.exe) Download this file and save it, and then copy/paste it into the game directory. Once that is done you might still get a game crash when the game says "connecting" If this is the case, please go into the game's directory and delete the client.exe file and then rename the file client.tmp to client.exe as Drakier has suggested, as it will only be effective after this point. I type the link into my web browser and all I get is this webpage cannot be displayed
or HTTP 404 error |

Download this file and put it in your Path of Exile folder over top of the one there.
Then right-click on it and "Run as Administrator". |
