Lightning Arrow with "shotgun" nerf
So, when you use LA with LMP + fork/chain vs a group of mobs, can the effect still bounce into the same target multiple times?
Please don't answer with a wild guess. Ideally I could get a dev to comment on this. If not this really hoses lightning arrow, way more than the 20% buff allows for. |

" Arrows skills have never had shotgun in the same way spells have. Shotgun mechanic changes does not affect bow skills. I can state with a high degree of certainty that the shotgunning change had ZERO impact on this skill.
Prior description from GGG had specified that this change "makes spells behave like arrows." Indicating that it's just spells... And that arrows have ALWAYS behaved this way. As always, if you LMP/GMP a bow skill, the INITIAL ARROWS fired can not stack onto the same target... But any AoE proc'd by them CAN. This has been observed very strongly with Tornado Shot and Ice Shot, and also works with Similarly, there was no fundamental change to Chain, which is NOT a shotgun effect; as always, if there's only two possible targets, chain will just have it bounce between the two until it uses up all the chains. Overall, I feel archers got a MASSIVE buff in this patch; in GGG's attempt to re-work shotgunning spells, I think they overlooked the impact onto bow skills as a result: pretty much all bow actives scale a LOT bigger now, and the damage penalty from LMP/GMP was reduced to hardly anything.
