Can't Patch To The Awakening - "CHECKING RESOURCES"

Hey,
I had absolutely no trouble installing or downloading the original POE client/game content. Since the release of Awakening, I was so EFFING excited I literally planned a party around the release. Can't EVER get past "CHECKING RESOURCES", or one time the game started downloading/installing the Awakening patch and instead I got a bizarre error about this or that not allocating or whatever. Other times, through an admittedly spotty network, I got as far as "connection lost to patch server, good luck looooserrrr" Sadly, I've tried since the release to get it running, I've tried the following: 1. Close, restart, close, restart, rinse, repeat 2. Uninstall, re-download, uninstall, re-download 3. Log on from the website first prior to opening the client 4. Connecting from several different networks. 5. Ensuring the game was trafficking data while the client ran I've googled answers to death, and guys, this game is my favorite game in the entire world right now. You don't even know what it means to me, like...seriously, thanks for the game, I just want to play it and tell everybody all about it. "Not all who wander are lost,"

delete the logs folder, ShaderCache folder, and Content.ggpk file, then right-click the PathOfExile.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
It should go to "Checking Resources" for a little while (not more than 10 to 20 minutes at most) then then it should "Allocate Space" for a while longer. Once that completes, it should download the files. Try that again, and if you still have issues, check the Client.txt file in the Logs folder and at the bottom should contain information about patching... hopefully it is about queuing and downloading files.
