How much mana does an aura require?

im trying to run all the auras that use 40% of your mana. i thought that even with super low mana you could use all of them as it only uses 40% of your mana, not a static number. but im only able to run 2 of those auras, it won't let me run a third 40% mana aura it says too low mana, so that must mean it requires a certain amount of mana to use. what amount mana is required to use it? |

40% + 40%= 80% +40%=120
more than 100% is impossible. reduced mana cost and reduced mana reserve will let you run 3 if you can get them to about 33-33% each aura |

they reserve 40% of your total mana pool, not 40% of what you have available at the time the aura is initiated.

i see.
if i spec into the 2 nodes which would grant in total "10% reduced mana cost of skills" how much mana resserve % would a haste gem take? normally its 40%, but with those 2 spec points, would that mean it would only cost 30%? |

" Those passive points that reduce the cost of skills won't affect auras. There are specific nodes for auras in the Templar area. |
