Need clarification on Point Blank

Found contradicting info looking into this.
- Does the damage calculation use the distance from the origin or total distance traveled? (relevant to chaining, forking and Spectral Throw) - Is the projectile origin always the user of the skill (character, totem, trap, mine), or the location where the projectiles actually starts to travel? (relevant to Frost Blades) | |
|
- It's total distance traveled, for skills like TS the travel distance of original projectile and the resulting one will be summed. Spectral Throw damage will drop on the way out and back, though it's less of an issue now that damage can't drop below 50%. Also, ST projectile accelerates and decelerates, so with distance being calculated using speed and travel time funny things may happen with it, depends how good the formula is so I still wouldn't use it for ST.
- For frost blades it's the melee hit target. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/one-vision1]► Последняя редакция: raics#7540. Время: 1 янв. 2016 г., 08:41:30

I saw on "state of exile" pod cast 43 or 44... ziggy do talking about the mechanic and that Rory tested it. If I recall it is the distance from where the projectile fires to the target... u can move once fired it will not matter. Ziggy said Roby tested a bunch of bow skills and the only one that could abuse the mechanics was ice shot. It's aoe is scaled from the hit.. so large aoe could extend damage past drop off.
I mention this cause I was wondering if frost blades could abuse this mech in the same way.. if I heard it correctly that it is at the projectiles are fired. Последняя редакция: Ragaroon#5543. Время: 1 янв. 2016 г., 11:25:22
