Avatar of fire question

Making a full fire conversion avatar of fire build. Just wondering how while running avatar of fire hatred is still putting my dps up 5k? I have no cold conversion just physical conversion.

Figured I'd have to run anger, but hatred is adding more dps?

Avatar of Fire comes with natural 50% Cold to Fire conversion. So, Hatred is still contributing half of what it normally contributes, to your fire damage.

Ah right I forgot!..

So I guess the next question would be how is anger so shit its doing less than a 50% hatred gem in a build that scales fire damage?

Hatred scales off your base physical damage (including physical damage that's been converted to something else). Anger doesn't, and will never be as good as hatred if you have high base physical DPS, but in the past it's been used in builds that ignored base weapon damage and stacked as much base damage from other sources as possible.
