chisel sustain

how do you guys sustain chisels in ssf? stone hammer recipe isnt quuite enough for me, cause i run out of wetstones quite fast. i dunno

You have to be sparing with them.

I currently have ~230 chisels, and I still only chisel T13 and above.

You start at T12 or even T11 and you will run out fast (as I did last league, hence my decision to only do T13 now). (Addendum: I guess this goes out the window if you are one of the shaped Atlas to only run Shaped Strands. I don't aspire beyond level 90 so I don't do that).

As I have chronic alt-it is (8 chars in Legacy lvl 70+, 2 @ 90) I have not done the chisel recipe to date as I have wanted a lower level map base for my up-and-comers.

Frankly, I can barely tell the difference between a chiseled and non-chiseled map half the time. Chisel a T13 and get sparse drops. Don't do a T12 and get 5 maps dropped. RNG, she is a fickle mistress. Don't sweat it, is what I am saying.
