Pantheon upgrade did not drop when killing map boss (SOLVED)

Got a bug where I used a channel map and divine vessel to get the Soul of Ryslatha - Capture the Winged Death.

I killed the big bird thing and it did not drop a soul.

It was my first divine vessel :(

I think the vessel is not dropped from the boss, it is subsequently found inside the map device's map slots.

Ohhhh, lucky I still had the game open!
