Best Spectres 3.0 and why?

So far I've seen Raiz go wickermen in his SRS build, but I was wondering what Spectres other people use and why?

Anyone got any tips on spectres from all spectrums in 3.0?

As in, a Lightning Spectre, a Fire Spectre, a Cold Spectre, a Chaos Spectre, a Physical Spectre, a Buff Spectre etc etc.

Kitava's Heralds are popular as well, anyone know what type of damage they do?

The best spectres I found were the ones in Maligaro Sanctum, "Undying Inductors". They fire piercing projectiles similar to lightning trap which is perfect for clear speed.

Unfortunately to get them you have to find a willing player that has access to the quest since you can't go back there after you finish it and it's very rare to find these monsters in maps.

Otherwise I use the cold ribbons in lunaris concourse that cast ice lances, and occasionally the incinerate bishops from the chamber of innocence.
Has anyone tried wraith or spectral tactician spectres yet? Both seem to be rather common and can also be rolled on a map and have access to either ethereal knives or raging spirits.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
I am loving the absolute hell out of bone husks even though people are writing them off as more defensive utility spectres and can't compete with clear speed spectres. I disagree while trying to find the best 5l set up. At least minion damage, gmp, spell echo alone makes their bone wall and follow up spike explosions amazing screen clearers.
"It's all clearer now
And I hear her now
And I'm nearer to
The Salvation Code"
I really like the Infernal/Flame sentinels in the Solaris Concourse (and their ice-counterparts in the Lunaris Concourse).

I don't know how they compare to other spectres, but they make their effect obvious enough for me to go "... yeah that's what i want" ;)
I've been testing cold spectres and worked my way through most of them. If I can remember the names right (at work atm), here's what I've found and that are worth a mention. If I remember later I'll come back and update the names and make it less vague:

Frost sentinels: really strong. Really, really strong. If you're not into hipster builds and just want good clear speed, look into these. Also don't benefit too much from unending hunger because they're not always in range to nom them tasty souls.

Lunar wintermages (or something like that): glacial cascade, looks cool, not amazing damage, not that tanky, short range. Fun, but not the best.

Lunar zealot: casts blizzard or something like that, not terrible clearing but they like to walk into melee range and start punching instead of casting so not great. Also not tanky.

Lunar (something like zealot cant remember the name, look similar to zealots): casts frost spikes and frost golems. The golems are thick as pigshit and the spikes aren't too bad but not massive damage, also not tanky.

Lunar Champions: Fukkin-A! They flicker strike, they ice crash, they cast hatred banners. They're tanky. They're really fucking cool BUT they're melee. Which means they don't hit anything. Good for maps up to about 7/8 then they start missing too much so dps falls off. Currently using them with a lycosidae and a scourge and im basically sprinting through t10/11, not unlocked further than that yet.

Rime Sentinels: cast like a barrage of frost spikes in a cone/area. Not been able to find a way to boost their damage enough to make it worth it because the damage is dealt SLOWLY and individually (as opposed to continuous damage over time) they also waste a lot of the damage on nothing so it's not very effective aoe.

Merveils blessed: they faceroll everything but they're not new. I prefer these to frost sentinels because I feel like the aoe is a bit more comprehensive. These are what I've been using and they're great but like with frost sentinels if you're into hipster builds, you're not treading new ground with these. OH. also. Only summonable on a few maps. Try and get either a map with monster variety or sea witches and their spawn. Or spam beach/shore (I think?)/strand/courtyard (possibly).

Other elements are lame. ICE IS NICE.

As a side note - I tried using bone husks as phys projectile spammers with hatred and grip of the council. Worked a treat until I found out the hard way that they crash the game in lab. DO NOT USE BONE HUSKS IN LAB.

I'll give these a shot. Thanks.

Your minion's minion cannot be supported, so their damage is incredibly low. Good for a meme SRS flood build but bad for everything else ;).

Currently I roll with Solar Guards. Good dps and I can find them reliably in certain maps which is the most important thing for me. Tried also Frost Sentinels. They are amazing, but i had way more probs to find them consistently.
Usually i use the canal Wickermans with its RF, that just burns everything really fast.

I like these Apes in Act 6 too with its Frenzy and Power Charge buffs for your Zombies.
Charges are different for monsters than for players and are much stronger for zombies.
The issue is, they are level 45ish and quite squishy in maps due to limitation of spectres, so i end up using Wickermans because they are level 67.

Iam pretty sure we could see a higher varity of spectres if they douls scale up too instead of scale down only.
@fumina

you can re-summon yr spectres in a map, and than yr spectres have the level of the map. its just like not every map has yr spectres in the table. so you have to try (and error) to find yr spectres in a map. i am pretty sure you can get yr frenzy apes in the thicket map (for example).
