Suggestions regarding harbinger league
I wanted to provide a few suggestions here after playing quite a bit of hardcore harbinger league.
The harbingers themselves are a great idea and a good addition. Some people say that harbingers only provide ''pocket change'', but I see this as being pretty far from the truth. The orb of harbingers makes it very easy to sustain the guardian t16 maps. In addition to that the small shards of chaos / exalted / alteration do add up to quite a bit of extra chaos over time. A big issue with them is that they summon rather slowly, and after the mobs have been summoned they instantly die to any effect (like for example sunder or a few totems that were present). They should have some kind of grace period to prevent them from being any threat at all due to instantly dying. (But this was already suggested by others). Also I find that they summon these generic monsters from act 1. The only new model being the hounds I believe. I would like to see the variety of monsters to go up that they summon, maybe giving them an alternate skill would spice things a bit up. Now onto the unique beachhead map: The unique map has an excellent layout and is a great source of farming. The first issue arrises in the way you obtain this map. You obtain this map by using orbs of the harbinger or orbs of the horizon on your own maps. Although this is a good way to promote usage of these orbs, I find think that they themselves have a lot of merit from themselves to be desireable to use. Considering that the concept of the league revolves around obtaining small shards, I think it would be much better if the player would need to find shards of the beachhead map from the harbingers. The same general issue applies to the map boss as well that you kill them before they spawn with your skill effects. This makes the only threat from the boss the occassional volatile rare that you sometimes kill. A second threat from the boss seems to be unintentional but your character is constantly picking up loot from all the loot that drops. It would be better to have a chest at the end that would drop the loot equivalent to the amount of harbingers you kill as boss. Uniques: I find that the way you obtain uniques is cool, you collect shards and forge them together. I'm surprised that you as GGG decided to go through the effort of making all the uniques have shards ( and also art for that ) and decided not to collect the unique map through shards!
