Volatile Dead Spell Totem on Bosses

I am using Volatile Dead as a totem together with Unearth as a totem.

This combination works great for the most part but becomes useless on Bosses such as Kitava that have no targetable ground beneath them. The corpses unearth creates just vanish and the VD totem refuses to target corpses that are lying in front the untargetable area.

I don't know if this is intentional or not but it is annoying that a build can become useless at one point just because the mechanics don't work properly.

Yepp have the same problem.

Both Kitavas and Arakaali can't be done with this setup.
