how do you get hold of players to buy an item ive tried whisper and pm but no answer

This late in the league a lot of people are apathetic to trading really.

If the item you are buying is under 5c chances are you are gonna have to whisper about 4-5 different people to get an answer.

For instance if im buying say a gem worth 1c i just spam whisper 5 people immediately and then take the 1st invite and ignore anyone else that answered. It's pretty dickish but saves time.

I did say it was dickish, but it's naturally the most efficient way to trade. When someone whispers me to buy someone and im in a map I dont say anything and just invite them to the party, if they dont take it I don't leave the map, if they offer below what im asking and im fine with that I invite them as a "yes". You ALWAYS go to the sellers HO, there is zero need for communication beyond the initial buyers request and possibly a haggle. For instance I have an item listed w/o a buyout if someone whispers me something way to low ill just ignore, if they are close ill come back with the lowest I will take and if they accept invite and trade. If im fine with the offer I invite and trade.

Don't go out of your way to sell someone something unless they are in party and at your HO. The only other thing I can think of is if you are buying something listed for chaos in other currency like say jewelers you should trade them on the high end of the exchange. IE is jews are 8-12 and something is 2c trade 24 jews not 16. I've never once had anyone not accept non chaos currency doing this and I never had to stop and explain anything.

if you hit Ctrl+V with the chat line open in game it will whisper that person will all the information they need to sell you that item.

You dont, you pm the next 20 ppl and pray for someone to answer.

Try whispering those who didn't list the item for 1-2 alch.
