EU Milan Server ping
I play on EU Milan server. Usually i get from 60 to 80 ping. For the past 24h i kept getting problem with high ping when opening t6+ maps rolled with alchs.
To be more concise: - 60-70 ping in hideout; - 60-70 ping in tier 1 to 5 maps not rolled (plain white); - 400-430 ping in tier 6 to 8 maps rolled with alchs. - On one of those map with 400+ ping, i found a tora, got the mission to clear the "Infected Beast Den" and got 60 ping while inside the Den. Now, im not gonna put all my currency into testing every single combination of map tiers + rolls + Milan/Frankfurt/London/Paris/etc. servers for obvious reasons. Hopefully the information i gave will be enough to identify the problem and fix it. Would love to play this game. Oh well, back to 4coder i guess.. Last bumped12 мар. 2018 г., 06:51:02

I confirm this. My ping has always been 16ms but it happens that sometimes when instancing I get ping around 400ms.
This is unpredicatable, for example yesterday uber lab had 3-4 rooms with 400ms and the others with normal 16ms. As I am writing I'm getting 400ms in my own hideout. It looks like if sometimes the game doesn't create the instance in the Milan server but somewhere else, generating the issue, like when playing with people on distant gateways (Singapore, Brasil etc). I analyzed the issue further by checking where the TCP connections occur.
It looks like that when the ping is high the related ip is the following: 168.1.121.84, which by geolocation looks like it's in Australian (which definitely explains why the ping). When the latency is the usual one instead I get a connection to 159.122.142.233 which is indeed located in Milan. So what happens is that the backend allocates a slot on the australian server instead that here in Italy. This should definitely help in understanding where the issue is, thanks! please fix, it's litterally unplayable in some maps.

Internet latency/lag is NOT a bug. If you do however want GGG to look into it, there are a few things you can do.
Read the stickies and post a WinMTR using the 0.92 version. Second thing you can do then, is send those MTR's to techsupport@grindinggear.com. There was a thread over in reddit that Chris replied to that some of the ISPs in Europe are having issues. This is something that is completely out of GGG's control and all they can do is put pressure on them to try and fix their shit. Having those MTRs is ammunition for GGG. If, on the other hand, you want people to look at your MTRs and see if you specifically are having an issue, make your own thread and we'll take a look. Too bad the lag experienced is a bug in the game code. Else the following would not be possible: Inside the crypt, I acquired a nice latency of 600, after noticing it I left and opened a new instance this resulted in a lowered latency (18). When I exited and opened the old instance it jumped to 600. This means that the internet connection is not at fault. The game or the game server is causing some sort of delay in certain instances for some people. If 600 can be found and can be reduced by switching instances I can only assume a latency above 1000+ can be realistic also and can cause an unexpected disconnection. Just trying to let you know, I am already in contact with support and I found this issue yesterday, so this might get the team and me a step closer of finding a solution (else the solution is = uninstall POE ;) ) Damn Latency issues.
Might come back in a few seasons. |

im italian and i have the same exactly issue.
sometimes i have fixed 17ms(like always), sometimes i change zone/map ping go to fixed 380/400/430ms its not reated to provider ... IT'S YOUR PROBLEM .. because the ping its fixed for the entire time i stay in that maps/zone ..... if i open 2 time the same maps can be hight or low ping ... even when i exit from maps in hideout i can get low or hight ping ... seem just random butt till the "instance" of zone or map dont expire remain fixed video https://ufile.io/137zx Последняя редакция: Antisommossa#0413. I can confirm this, happening since the last week, it looks like it randomly chooses between eu servers to aus server or others.
Sometimes when I log in, my HO has 400+ ping, i open a map, and it goes back to normal 60-80. Same in the uberlab, some rooms had normal ping, and others 400+ (included the last fight sadly). I hope they can fix this soon because its quite annoying. |

" Getting the exact same issue, a lot of instances (almost half of them actually) are created on some aus server( 168.1.121.84) thus making the game unplayable for me (390+ ping), especially in maps where creating another instance is not possible. Please look into this. |
