Varhesh, Shimmering Aberration Freezes

It seems like Varhesh, boss of Terrace, bugs out if he is frozen during transition. This has happened 3 times so far on my glacial cascade build (and all three occurred in the bottom-left pool... not sure if that makes a difference). I've tried various means to get him unstuck but nothing seems to work.
