Magna Eclipsis on Animate Guardian does not enable Elemental Aegis when Equipped

I put Magna Eclipsis on Animate Guardian, but there is no protective bubble around him.

I would suppose that skills granted by items are not activated on AG, but there is contradictory fact that equipping Death's Oath on AG activates Death Aura Skill granted by item.
