Complete Maps with Eight Mods

"Complete the following number of red tier maps while they have 8 mods. Maps having 8 mods is a potential outcome of vaal orb corruption. These maps are completed by killing their unique bosses."

Ok so why is it if I use an alc on a red tier map, get 11 mods on it, it does not count towards this challenge? All the mods on this map potentially dont give me any favors.

Or does this challenge have some BS to it where it cant have anymore then 8 mods as well?

you have to vaal the map to count. a regular map can't have more than 6 mods,you had 11 lines not mods

Some mods are sort of hybrid and have two or three effects. Kind if like rolling rares. (Also searching the wiki often answers questions like this.)

The advanced mod descriptions will show you how many prefixes and how many suffixes you have. As others have said, rares in this game are limited to 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes. You have to corrupt the map for a chance to get 8 mods.

Go to options UI then toggle Advanced Mod Descriptions. Then count your mods again.

We all know what the challenge says [Removed by Support] I wasnt going to type out the whole thing. Yes it said you can potentially vaal orb corruption but I saw a map i alced and it happen to looked like 11 mods. [Removed by Support]

It looked like 11 mods but it wasn't. Non-corrupted rare items/maps CANNOT have more than 6 mods.

Example: if you have this:
(15-20)% increased Monster Movement Speed
(20-25)% increased Monster Attack Speed
(20-25)% increased Monster Cast Speed

you only have 1 mod. Those 3 lines are part of the same mod.
