CI Gloomfang is not (always) suicide
Chaos Inoculation character actually CAN use Gloomfang with a Life Gain on Spell Hit mod on Shaper ring to negate the unique Life lost
Resulting in a positive LGoH panel value ![]() Yet you may still commit suicide when Magma Orb is spell blocked or spell dodged, to my best guess, which happens a lot in pvp but also with some pve monsters such as Tukohama scum here So Life Lost on Hit and Life Gain on Hit has a ninja sequence or underlying discrimination, and block and dodge roll are squeezed in between, which is pretty bullsht with the exact same wording So I'll have to use pvp exclusive gem in pve too just for random chaos damage here and there Which doesn't prevent suicide at all actually lol Последняя редакция: Arthur606#6148. intresting but when you use gloomflang and that ring you will initially loose 13 life first after that your gain 14 life but you die before that

" That's not how it works. All "gain life on hit" modifiers, whether positive or negative, are added up together and given to you all at once. If the sum is positive, you gain life; if the sum is negative, you lose life. This is some weird interaction with block/dodge, and I'm not sure whether it's intentional. |

I thought gloofang isn't that broken in pvp since there is CI and very little ways of reducing chaos res if it's capped for life chars. Not to say it's not instant damage and getting the line up for the last bounces is not easy by any means.

" Chaos damage is not at all what Magma + gloomfang is about in pvp. You see it appears if you stack enough chain + faster projectile pt on gear and skill, Magma orb bypass max projectile distance. So gloomfang giving +1 chain means with a +2 helm enchant you can go into sarn corner and shoot someone on the other side of the arena. Magma orb also bounce over frost wall so you can t stop the projectiles. The only way to avoid this shit is to climb on hill of arena since those orbs somehow can t climb arena stairs. Very lame gameplay, standing still and shoot 3 screen away. Stopped using this once I discovered that interaction. Was trying to counter KB offscreening at the time. " You talking about scorching ray? You can use burning flask to cancel the burn but why comparing a lame skill with another lame skill? SR is super lame, like magma is super lame. And MAgma orbs got a bug where projectiles are invisible past a certain distance so no, you won t see balls before dying with magma in many cases.
