If the line of sight is blocked even sliiiiiightly, the character will paralyse. Nothing happens, instead of I don't know, make him auto adjust to the nearest spot and trigger the ability asap ?? ![]() Why can't we have smart pathfinding for movement skills?? You have this behaviour for ranged attacks/spells/actions, the game adjusts the line of sight by making the char move to the NEAREST LOCATION TO ALLOW SAID ACTION TO TAKE PLACE aka "fire asap". This issue has always been the worst pile of shit with whirling blades, but became a equally terrible experience to me now that I'm using kaoms roots (no move speed) with fast attack leap slam as mobility. I have to adjust myself COOOOOOOOOONSTANTLY with every fucking pixel blocking my way before I can leap. What's your excuse here this time? Could you at least be honest with us and tell us straight to our face that you don't WANT this kinda smooth quality of life, "because this would allow people to point in a general direction and just fly (read skip boring) content, and we must ensure you spend as much time as possible in this game" ?? this is why leap slam IMO is the absolute worst. i hate it so much its almost unhealthy.
i use charged dash to get over terrain and its really great to run lab. otherwise i just run. |

you can't move diagonally around walls when the line of action crosses even one border of the wall square. classic d&d principle there, it's not a bug
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good

And if you click on a blocked position further away,
the game bridges the path by using the skill twice (leap slam, shield charge, whirling blades, cyclone). No more need to wiggle wiggle wiggle the mouse all over the screen like a retard to find the right spot, just click and the fucking thing GOES. That's how it should be. ![]() |

OP, your request first sounds reasonable.
But now imagine your picture with a dense crowd of monsters around you. If you would trigger your movement skill and the character would start walking to the nearest point, you might just get stuck and get killed. Your movementskill wouldn´t trigger and you´d be dead. Instead, you jump on the spot and can direct it to a different place. You know that leap slam is often used for skills like fortify and will at least give you some sort of protection. Walking through a monster crowd wouldn´t. You might even end up stuck and then start ranting about how unreliable movement skills are. Got it? |

Totally agreeing with OP here.
Leap slam USED to not feel like shit, if anyone remembers this as well. They changed it to cut down the "clearspeed" I think it was, correct me if I'm wrong. But it ended up making movement skills just feel clunky and uncomfortable, gratz GGG. I wish we could have OLD leapslam back. ::::::::▄▄▄▀▀▀▄▄███▄::::::::::::::
