Affixes - how do some of them work?

You are using an outdated source for your affixes thats all.

While the poster above me probably nailed this one on the head, another thing to keep in mind (specifically for rares) is that since you cannot see the names of the affixes you can sometimes get two that 'overlap' and end up with a total bonus that exceeds the bonus one affix can provide and not immediately realize that is due to overlapping affixes. I'm honestly not sure why GGG doesn't have a way to toggle the affix names on/off for rare items. In fact, I may go suggest that now in the suggestion forums.
