My Account got hacked!

After months of not playin' PoE I wanted to login again and have some fun in PoE.
My Account had been logged in from another location, so I changed my password... but when I was in Game and had a look at my stash, my whole good Orbs from Wisdoms to GC's where not there! Could any one of you GGG help me with this, could you have a look, what is missing and bring me back the missing things ? That would be awesome! |

If you've found your account compromised, probably the best thing you can do is clean your machine and then change your passwords (or change your passwords immediately, but only from a known-good system like your cell phone browser or something).
That goes for both your PoE password as well as your email password. Also make sure both passwords are unique (never been used before) and that they are not the same as each other (always make your passwords between systems different to prevent a full compromise if they gain access to one of the passwords). I'd also recommend that if you're using gmail to enable their 2-factor authentication system (called 2-step verification in the account security page) to better protect your email account. If you're not using gmail, then I recommend you create a gmail address, do what I mentioned above, then contact support at the email address in the Contact Support link at the top of this page and they'll be able to assist you in attaching the new email address to your account. They will not restore any items/characters as they have a zero restore/rollback policy. But if you have any microtransactions, those will remain on your account and can be used again, so you wouldn't have lost any real life money. Good luck. |

Sorry, but I used to work for Bestbuy in my youth, and back then, viruses and spyware nasty bits were always from porn sites (yeah we checked customer history to trace the source, because, customers in their ignorance, don't realize it's all there and they actually ask where they got it from. Interesting topic when the dudes wife is standing next to him on pickup...or his MOTHER!). |

I'm sorry to hear that's happened to you. I'm afraid as Drakier said we can't restore items that have been taken, but the most important thing is to change the password for your email account as this will have been accessed for the unlock code. Make sure you use a password that hasn't been used on any other website or account, and ideally set up extra security such as gmail's 2-step authentication.
