Oh the memories...
That's why I'm all for legacy items in the permanent leagues, they add another layer of complexity to the item pool, are nice to collect, and are remnants of a time that's no more. I mean, it's like looking at an old photo album, and I'm sure many of those who complain will be glad to look at their +2 silverbranch in 2 or so years. Keep in mind I dont possess any Kaom/Shav/soul taker evenif I am for legacy items D2 4ever ;)
