Editing character account overview

How do I edit which character my account overview shows? Currently it's showing two old characters that I don't play in a while, one of them is just a dead old HC char that I didn't delete.

The account overview shows the highest character in a hardcore league and the highest in a non-hardcore league. To change this, level your newer characters sufficiently I suppose...

There must be a way! I've seen some accounts with two hardcore characters listed (HC and Nemesis).
