GGG, Nemesis mods in Hardcore
" GGG, if you are going to introduce Nemesis mods in Hardcore and have them spawn only a certain percentage of the time you must, absolutely must, make it visually obvious that a rare has in fact spawned with a Nemesis mode. In much the same way as aura's are visually obvious. I do not wish to play a game where it becomes really tedious to check the mods of every rare before you even dare attack them. step 1:
move mouse step 2: move it on the rare mob step 3: Read the text line with different color (orange) step 4: You spotted a nemesis mod! Nemesis mods: Storm herals: already announces himself quite easily, boom boom and thunders everywhere Volatile [element]: meh, you should notice it.. after all you're attacking a mob while clicking on him right? Corrupting blood: when your first attack strikes, look at buffs: is there a red debuff? it's corrupting blood, it takes 1 second to check Soul eater: by the time you kill one monster near it, you'll notice there is a soul eater Ancestral power: so damn evident (and useless) mod Berseker: useless mod, don't need to notice it at all Shroud walker: extremely evident Nullifier: not that evident, but not that dangerous either Vile touch: pfffwahahah, usless mod, no need to notice it at all Bringer of bones: lel, usless mod usually, no need to notice it Inner tresure: absolutely needs an evident way to announce himself Camouflaged predator: well, extreeeemely noticeable, the mob is almost invisible The mods underlined are the only ones you need to worry about, and they're sooooo easy to notice, spottable in less than 1 second usually. When next leagues are out they will implement a voice that yells "it's over 9000!!!!!" so we can spot them better. Damn it's soooo tedious to move the cursor and read!!! Yeah, and when they only spawn a certain % of the time it's going to be tedious to hover over and read every single rare. It's far better design to make it visually obvious.

[Removed by Support] There is no reason whatsoever anyone would have difficulty seeing the big orange text on a monster that already happens to be yellow therefore you should be on your guard for dangerous mods as it is.

What downsides can there possibly be to having these mods be visually obvious in the same manner as Reflect auras?

" Because theyre as obvious as it gets. Didnt you play nemesis? You can totally tell right away that a mob has a special mod. Its as said above, just point the mouse over the monster and either engage or run depending on the mod. Also, why put everything on a monster in form of a glow or aura or something? What if new mods come out then people want it as glow/aura again and then nobody can tell that the monsters with reflect has 10 other mods that are hidden because the auras overlap. |

What they should do is give rares monsters with nemesis mods a higher drop rate for rare items.
The difficulty of the mob (with all mods) should be proportional to the magic find bonus. Freakin..... LMP extra damage Voidbearers with Fractured. Now that's something to give you loot. -sigh- "The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence."

It's Nemesis, it's not created so that you can comfortably sit in your chair and play with 1 hand on your mouse and the other hand in a chips bag. It is riskier when you have to come closer, when you need to take time to read. It creates adrenaline, not lazy couch potatoes that want to be warned before any danger even comes.
If you ask me, i would even accept to not see what mod that creature has, just to see that he has a nemesis mod. More fear, more adrenaline, more fun. (o ye, when you see flaming totems just run. Don't ask wh..... dammit your already dead....) Последняя редакция: Zlajke#7196. Время: 13 февр. 2014 г., 18:03:17

tbh they should just make it so all rare mobs have a nemesis mod. as it stands, it's just going to be a 2x the pain in the ass with 1/2 the nemesis fun.
