Barrage + LMP = MUCH slower attack speed

I was experimenting with support gems for the Barrage skill, and everything went fine until I socketed in a LMP gem. The LMP gem combined with Barrage seemed to bring the attack speed way down, to the point where it was very noticeable. It's even slower than the Barrage skill without a support gem. I tried it with a GMP gem, and the GMP gem works just fine.

I switched out Barrage with Split Arrow to see if it was an issue with LMP itself, but Split Arrow works fine with or without LMP, so I'm guessing it's just the combination of Barrage + LMP.

I take it on the video you were using barrage multiple times per test?
LMP adds a projectile(or 2 i forget exactly) to the number of projectiles barrage fires per use, so the time between uses grows a bit to accommodate the extra projectiles...GMP would most likely seem even slower because it adds even more projectiles

He states GMP doesn't exhibit the slowdown.

Nope, GMP doesn't exhibit the same problem. If you watch the whole video, I demonstrate GMP also.

I actually went and tested it myself, plain old barrage, with LMP seems slower with GMP seems about the same as LMP and definitely slower than base barrage.
you may have a quality GMP as opposed to non quality LMP.
Not sure why yours is different...will need to try it with quill rain next.

Tried with quill rain, initial testing definitely had a progression from base being fast to GMP being the slowest dumped a faster attacks in there and tested them again and base barrage and gmp were firing fast and LMP a bit slower, seems like it might be some odd rounding issue when it comes to attack speed and the additional projectiles
