installation error

"path of exile setup wizard ended prematurely because of an error. your system has not been modified to install this program at a later time, run setup wizard again. click the finish button to exit the setup wizard." i have no option to run the installer as an admin, i do get a repair option but that does nothing, any help is appreciated.

Run it again and "remove" if it is an option.
You also should right-click on it to select the "Run as Administrator" option. Any more details about your setup would be nice....IE: Which OS are you running? How much RAM do you have? etc. In fact, you could just post a DxDiag.exe export ("save all information" button) inside of a Spoiler tag and we can take a look at all that stuff. There are other options to installing, but it's best to figure out the root/base cause as fixing that has a better long-term affect than working with a hacky band-aid. I'd rather fix the cause than work-around it. |

there is no remove option. yes right click and no run as admin option. i have windows 8, i have 8 or 16 GB of RAM dont remember i know i can handle the game. i have an AMD A8 - 5500 APU with Radeon (tm) HD graphics 3.20 GHz processor. 8.00 GB of RAM 7.90 usable, and a 64 bit OS x64 - based processor windows 8, and a good enough video card for just about any game i want.

Win+R or Run... type in DxDiag.exe and press enter.
When that comes up, you click the "Save all information" button and save the text. Open up the resulting file, copy out the contents and put them into a new post. Before you "paste" the contents, click the Spoiler button in the "Create post" page so that it keeps the thread clean. Win8 should have a "run as administrator" option. It's odd that it doesn't. |

If you exceed the character limit, then you either need to cut off some of the end/bottom until it fits, or better, you can put it on pastebin or something then provide the link to it for us to look at.
Do you have access in Win8 to look at the accounts in the Control Panel and look what type of account your user is? Is the machine you're playing on owned by you, or is it something that was loaned to you by your work/school? Trying to figure out why it would be that you don't have administrator rights. |
