Ugh, this discussion is still going on?

* noob opinion here.I played for a short time

Somebody said earlier: dont copy builds from forum... yea... nice...
1. Play for a week
2. Realize your build suk dik
3. Try to fix shit up
4. Nope (you need like 50 orbs of regret)
5. New character
6. Copy build from the forum
7. Uninstall

Also I've tried D3 trial recently. Cant say much but graphics in D3 >> D2>D1>Paint>Shit>PoE

Yeah pretty much. As a guy who farmed Greater Rifts 50+ solo and Torment X solo in DIablo 3....

The 'passive skills tree' is too overly complicated for the sake of it.

As a new player, you have no clue whatsoever about your final, future build. Will attack speed be better than %physical melee increased damage for ex?

Should you get some % life etc for defenses / regen ? If so how much is needed for what level of content? No clues.

The fact that you LOSE XP when you die and that it amounts to a good chunk at higher levels, coupled with potentially crappy talent builds you can make means you will just end up deleting your character since YOU CANNOT MAKE A FULL RESPEC ! LOL

Unless you spend a lot of time searching for what effects do gems, what talent builds are good, what aren't etc you just can't go in blind unless you like wasting time.

4 stash tabs when items take Diablo 2 oversized room (whereas Diablo 3 adopted a modern, compact item sizes + LOTS of inventory space along the 5 base stash tabs) .... Is just a trick to force people into buying more stash tabs

Not even tlaking about the overall graphics... But general armor looks are pretty pretty meh .... In Diablo 3 you can have decent looks. WITH weapon glows!

Here, if you don't pay 20-50-70-100$ you will look like crap LOL

Overall, this game has nice ideas, but the lack of respec makes it reeeally not beginner friendly (another trick to waste more time and create the illusion of game longevity)

PoE is complex and not newbie-friendly at all

Working as intended
@up: =(

K, mate. I really tried to get into the game but the respec system is a complete mood killer *probably not for only* me. Punishing the new players for not knowing every minute detail and nuance of a game they're just learning. A game like this is already super grindy the last thing you should be doing is tossing in extra pointless grinding to farm regrets.
The game is hard on purpose.

D3?
My ten year old can play D3 with only "here is how you login"
~ Please separate the PoE1 and PoE2 forums.

Ok, ok, I get it. PoE is harder than D3 and therefore it's better ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Nothing really matters if a person enjoys playing any of the two games (or both).

Another quality post :))
Your 10 year old can play torment 10 and gr50+ just with "here is how you login"? He is a gaming-genius.
Or to show you some stuff:

I took videos of two of the best there are in both games. First is d3, second poe.
This is just some stuff that reminds of atziri, don't you think? Brilliant movement, positioning, timing. And finishing one of the hardest bosses (maybe not for dhs, but hey^^). A ten year old? Hell no.
Please stop that shit. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. After logging in the first time, a ten year old also can play POE till some point. So what is your fuzz about?

As i said: Separation. Bias. Just Bullshit. This comparisons are like fuel for the dark side of the force...
The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

To the op: I enjoyed reading your review and it's a job well done! Really like your graphics haha! I think most people will agree with the overall theme of your review. POE is for gamers who are elitist and ultra competitive when it comes to games, need more of a challenge, and enjoy complex game designs.

For example, a person who plays a console-RPG and kills every single optional boss, completes each sidequest, and min-max'es each character's potential even though it is not necessary will enjoy POE more. If you are the kind of gamer who will play the game to explore and just enjoy it as you move along, and will put the game down at the end when it is over, you will probably like D3 more.

The key points in your review were that POE has much higher re-playablity (sp?), whereas D3 has a much more linear progression & learning curve. Both positives for a different type of crowd.
And by the way, this is the reason that D3 got so much hate initially. From D2 hardcore-gamers. They were expecting a POE, but they got a D3. So we're all here now =)
