How does Molten Strike work with Support rune point blank?

See title.

Does it work at all? Or does it always the least damage, because the projectiles from Molten Strike are traveling always the howl way (jump up in the air and explode when they hitting the ground).

Sadly the game isn't showing the damage of the projectiles at all. (The DPS doesn't change after supporting it with lesser multiple projectile, but it is working).

Tooltips don't show the second part of the attack.

Point Blank works very well. The distance is from the melee hit to where the projectiles land. With nothing modifying that distance, most of the projectiles will have more damage.

Question:

Why is Flame Totem not affected by iron grip? In the skill description it says Projectile but the DPS is not going up after tieng iron grip to Flame Totem.

So does any of my passives which increasing projectile damage have no effect too?

Why the skill description is talking from projectile?

Point Blank is almost mandatory for Molten Strike. if you dont have any bonuses to AoE radius, Point Blank grants around +40% MORE damage to Molten Strike's projectiles. Without any downsides!!!

Should be similiarly as good as with frostblades no? The projectiles also very often hit monsters behind the targeted monster thus they are not far away.. Your actual melee attack is setting the range to the monster, but from your hit to next monsters it's a relative short range.

The maximum more multiplier on point blank MS is 40% if i am not mistaken and the minimal amount is 18% more damage.

(it varies depending on where the balls land, in relation to your hero, where the furthest ones will still have a 18% more multiplier)

There is in fact no downside at all to taking this with a dedicated MS character, free 7-link yo \o/!
