Cyclone with the Hypothermia + Herald of Ice w/ Carcass Jack and Dual Axe Legacy Soul taker/Abyssus

Hello everyone

I came back after like 1 year and after some playing and back to the game i need YOUR opinion/suggestions of my new build i figured out and i kinda want to use. Before actually crafting the colors of my Carcass Jack to 3 red - 3 green to make it work ( But I need also vorici 6lvl to spam "At least 3 red sockets" tho).
.....I want to show it to you and listen what do u think...

Here is my chest:

And as i said i want to make it 6L with 3 red and 3 green:
6L: Cyclone-melee phys dmg-added fire-faster attack-WED- and instead of not that useless (but useless with my build) i want to put Hypothermia gem, thats why i need 3 green...

What is the next is kinda my axes, got them for like 2 years, imo good phys dmg axes to make it work, instead of that rare one, but i might upgrade in future:



So:
I want to base on auras like:
- Hatred for phys dmg to cold
- Herald of ashe for ignite and extra fire ele dmg
- and here i was using arctic armour but... its useless for cyclone since it works only when u stay (its good for cleave after nerf for auras)
So the 3th aura will be.... The Herald of ICE for more not reflected, yea not reflected cold damage, for maximum chillness and freezeness

What next? The abyssus, it might be too offensive but im using it for maximum DMGnes (extra phys dmg) and the 21 to all stats i kinda need haha :


As u see i got in it: Leap slam-faster attacks-endurance charges on melee stun(everytime) and the FORTIFY

My boots and next gem setup for the build:

CWDT 2lvl - Blood rage +increased duration and vaal haste to use it by myself or (Phase run-maybe?)

Summon Flame golem for more dmg and vegance...

and gloves:

CWDT 2lvl (might lvl up it to 4lvl maybe?) with the IMMORTAL CALL(need leap slam first yea) +increased duration... and punishment ... i might switch punishment for enfeble maybe? i think i need some kind of defense, dont i? haha



A lot of offensive gems i guess, thats why i need ur opinion...
IMO with the hypothermia gem i will chill = freeze everything and with extra aoe from jarcass i will not to worry about the dmg i take... The only problem are bosses that are immunite to freeze.... thats the one thing im scared about....

Passive tree also with a lot of DPS nodes i think i will need to go for all hp nodes now :)

5,5k hp, 8k armour, resist capped, only -21 % chaos resi which is not that bad i guess:

Ah and almost forgot build for STANDARD, but doesnt mean i need to 24/7 die vs high maps, i like to play solo tho

What about crafting 3 green 3 red on that carcass it will be very hard right? Whats ur opinion about that setup i said: cyclone, fa, added fire, melee phys, wed, hypothermia?

If i get 4 red 2 green i might actually use fortify instead of it and fuck that haha
Celestial punishment isn't really worth the trouble. That's two passive nodes of damage, you lost more getting to it than you will gain.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I got 10% chance to freeze, ignite... and with soul taker and herald of ice/ashe i always chill/ignite so 25% increased dmg is amazing i guess.. with hypothermia gem i will freeze everything around :D

What other nodes i could take ?

Can't see much freezing going on with just the cold damage from hatred and HoI, especially not using one handers and Cyclone.

You could take anything suited for phys attackers instead, but it probably doesn't mean much as the basic idea of the build won't come through.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Yes, Arctic Armor's damage reduction doesn't do anything while moving, but it does leave chilled ground, and stuff standing on chilled ground will take increased damage from Hypothermia.

In addition to Hatred, Taste of Hate is mandatory for this build, otherwise you don't deal enough actual cold damage to do the freezes.
I like the idea but I am not sure if it will work. I don't have any experience with Soul Takers, let alone the legacy.

Celestial Punishment isn't nearly as good as it sounds, because it is additive rather than multiplicative damage. Notice how it says 25% increased damage rather than 25% more damage. So really it's worse than 25% increased phys damage in your case, since the phys would also be converted by Hatred and HoA giving you even more damage and it's not reliant on the freeze you could get from hypothermia (still a relatively low chance).

So if you're going way out of the way to get Celestial Punishment and you're missing out on phys nodes, not worth. If it's really accessible to you and there's nothing better as a damage option nearby, then grab it I guess.

I glanced at the skill tree you have linked and these are my observations -

Generally good pathing, but I noticed you skipped out on two jewel slots which you're only 2 nodes away from (one by Celestial Punishment and one by Barbarism). Jewels generally offer much better stats than your average node and if they're only 2 away from your tree I'd almost always recommend snagging one.

You didn't get any extra endurance charges despite being near two. Endurance charges are fantastic if you can fit Enduring Cry in. It will keep your HP topped off and improve your defense dramatically so would highly recommend if you have any survivability issues at all.

That said the tree looks decent to me, my only recommendation would be to consider taking those Celestial Punishment points,the life/armor nodes near the barbarian start, and/or the life/evasion nodes by the Duelist start and putting them into Endurance Charges and/or Jewels.

Hypothermia will work, yes, you will chill just fine but you won't freeze much, so those templar nodes that give you chance to freeze won't do anything worthwhile and celestial punishment is a waste of points either way.

Yea i moved into more defensive cuz i actually almost died for second time in that last boss in act 4 (Machalai as i remember)... so i think i will run hatred and grace(will have from 8k to 17k armour)
Or actually stick with hatred + herald of ashe+ ice

About Taste of hate i first time hear about it...
So this is trash and hate is much better?

@Nasreth Really appreciate what u have just wrote about my tree.
I get rid of celestial punishment and get extra endurance charge. So i got 5x now? it is enough?
About jewels i only got 2 of them so i didnt think about more but thats good idea to have at least 4 slots, hmm?
So this will be new passive tree after some thoughts, i dont really want to die and the combo with hypothermia should be enought with offensive...
Also i get Blade barrier for 30% block chance with riposte

Tell me what u think now , i think i dont need more phys dmg nodes in tree or maybe? :P



The whole question is, is it really worth to craft carcass jack to 3 red 3 green?
