Hmmm... Honestly, I think that might be the case, otherwise it'd be far too overpowered in a party of 5 Chaos builds all using Wither. Shame.. :(


Well, you'd be more forced to have to grab Skill Effect Duration nodes if that is the case, and with both Clusters, the 5% from Entropy, 20/20 Inc Duration Gem, no Cast Speed and a vanilla Temp Chains Curse... You're lookin' at what, 17.8 stacks of Wither [per person]?

That's not that bad. That's still 89 stacks in a 5-man Party, making all 5 Chaos players get a 990% Damage Multiplier on Mobs... :O

Yea, if there is no upper limit now, we will see it in few days. Otherwise this will become "Path of Wither"
It stacks as expected. No clue on multiple people all Withering at the same time, but that probably also stacks. TBH, I wouldn't expect or want more than one Chaos Mage in a party, though, since their dots aren't going to be stacking (i.e. chaos degen isn't poison, but poison is chaos degen).

Cast speed and skill effect duration help a lot. I mean, what else are you going to do as a Chaos Mage once you've applied your dots? Wither, wither, avoid an enemy charging at you, wither some more...

It's nearly a channeled spell in the way that it is used, and that's kinda cool.

I heard that Contagion/ED stack per player, so each person could still do their damage, but I'm not sure... I'd like some confirmation.

Stack per player ? But it works for other players too, right ? Or just for the original caster ? (something like temporary chaos res penetration)

I wasn't talking about Wither, Wither stacks on the Mob so all Players would benefit from it.

I was curious if a Mob could have more than one Contagion or Essence Drain on them at a time, because if not then 2 Contagion players wouldn't be able to play together since only one would be doing damage at any given time [unless one player just becomes the others Wither-bish. :P]

If 2 seconds is the base duration of the damage mod, then if anything, Wither seems potentially overpowered.
I have test this gem.
yes, it's op when get many stacks................
and I found it can't use echo, so I think wither + spell totem + faster cast +increase duration is a good choice

Sounds pretty obvious to me? Faster Casting, Spell Echo and Increased Duration all noticably improve the amount of stacks you can apply.

(I'm used to subtracting 1 from stacking debuffs from elsewhere, bad habit)
