The Design Process of my Ring : Valyrium

This is a nice adition to enable all those builds that want to be safe from stun but can't give up the amulet slot :D

How long did the design process took?

First of all good job for implementing your item and leaving your mark in the game.

Second do you know the rarity tier it belongs to?

Third the ring while simple in design unfortunately is a straightforwad upgrade compared to chayula, instant BiS for any CI/LL build so basically every ES based build. Directly outperforming it in almost any situation (pvp excluded)

Ring gives 15 to 45 flat es, ES based stun threshold (main attribute) and -15 to -10 total res (irrelevant)

Chayula gives 10 to 16 all stats, stun immunity (main attribute), 30% IIR (irrelevant), 20% reduced max life (irrelevant)

That extra flat ES while providing basically what chayula is used for + freeing up the much more important amulet slot are simply too many upsides compared to the latter with virtually no downside (that it if you are indeed looking to solve your stun issues in you character). Its utility and power and lack of downsides make it istant BiS and thats bad design in the end.

-40 Cold Resist makes this ring worthless imo.
Got Skyforth's in Prophecy, now I'll need to get this ring in Atlas to send back to standard for EScapades. This is a good problem to have.

Edit: nm, thought the ring was freeze resist not stun resist. Curses. Still good to have options though.

That can be easily capped from other pieces, especially now when you have a free amulet slot.
Lightning coil has -60% lightning res, and it's far from useless. You need to consider the benefits of items, not the single stats.

Oh god someone gets it, here i thought me and my guildies were the only ones, like gratz on making an unique item and at least in this one it was a downside *cough cough* skyforths *cough cough*.

It won't be exactly best in slot.

In terms of effective defense against stuns, it will be like this: Chayula > Valyrium > Skyforth (usually). Valyrium will be, for all intents and purposes, as good as Chayula for the high-ES builds. It will be more or less equal to Skyforth for lowlife builds focusing on damage instead of ES.

In terms of overall item power level, it will be like this: Skyforth > Valyrium > Chayula for most builds.

You have to be realistic about these things.

Stun Immunity is FAR better than Stun based on ES. You still can get hit by huge hits which will take big chunk of your ES, and still be stunned. Not that this will happen often, but sometimes it could be enough to get killed. So that is a factor.
This is not a straightforwad upgrade compared to chayula. Different aproach, different cost associated, and probably different rarity.
