[No longer updated] Pizza Sticks: Flameblast Totem Hierophant

Im new to this game and tryn to build into this guide. Cant reach more than 3.2k dps ? what im doing wrong ? Please some one help im using Flameblast. When im changing to Glacier i come up to 20k Dps very confused atm.

Not the best person to ask about tree optimization on dps but the easiest thing to do is to swap Inc AOE gem with Controlled Destruction. Then I would get 6l Carcass or 6l Soul Mantle (a lot more dps but need to counter curses either by 2 kikarazu rings or warding flasks). Lab enchant on helm and boot will help decently as well.

In the Glacial Cascade version i still need to focus on cast speed?
What is the priority order? (cast speed > spell damage > crit)?
What weapon combination will do more damage? (dagger + sceptre, 2 daggers, shield + sceptre...)

IMO cast speed for GC is not as important as it is for FB. I would do crit chance/crit multi>spell damage>cast speed. Dual wield will have more damage than shield (with tradeoff of survivability)but what type of weapon is not as important as what mods on it unless you want to use Whirling Blade (dagger) or Shield Charge (shield and no wand).

I took some time away from this game and have returned to play this league. I come across what I learned is called a breach. When I touch it I'm dead in a second or two, have not been able to figure out what to do. I have watched YT videos of others who can survive them, but not me yet.

Exactly what is the surviving strategy with breaches?

Why should I try to do these and what is the point or advantage of them?

Does anyone playing this even touch these things?

I do breaches only if I know my build can handle it, especially at high tier maps. FB totem is not one of the better skills for breaches especially Tul. Dps and aoe are two major factors of surviving breaches. GC totem is better due to chill and freeze.

Something I haven't noticed people pick up on is Kikizaru rings are one of the most powerful resistance rings in the game. You want to be overcapped to account for curses, normally to 135%. With 2 Kikizarus you only need to be overcapped to 90%, making them effectively have an additional modifier of +22.5% all elemental resistances. Comebine with the 30% lightning resist implicit, one Kikizaru ring effectively has +97.5% elemental resistance, making it pretty trivial to cap your resistances on your other pieces.
