Aye, the trick to being a good believer is to expect nothing and welcome everything your deity sends you. I can recommend heavy chancing to practice the 'expect nothing' part.

The reason I never tried to 6-link anything is because I don't need it most of the time and I wasn't lucky enough to get a 6L before a 5L so far. I test my faith in other ways, like ghetto crafting.

yes, I had been using 6Ls only for trigger gems. I bought cheap white or corrupted one.

the only case where I was prepared to have to 6L (and also get three offcolors on hybrid chest), was last league, with CoMK shield charge discharge with facebreaker, Daresso's Defiance and Unrelenting Jugg perk (with 100% chance). I really liked the build concept, it worked decently, but it felt 6th socket would make much difference. I left it as a long-term goal for Standard, sadly (or perhaps fortunately?) GGG solved the problem for me with Unrelenting nerf:)
