No. Seeing something like this as the "challenge" of the game is just wrong.

I've been on these forums long enough to know a theme: PoE is totally allowed to be sucky to you, but the devs and community appear to agree that sucky things need to "telegraph" their imminent suckiness, in order to make them acceptable.

There should probably be a warning for this.

I try to be as objective as possible.

There is already an “in your face” dialog box telling you that your implicit will be replace. So it’s not that bad

However, many people don’t Have a clue what is ‘implicit’ or ‘suffix’ or ‘prefix’, ‘affix’ on context of an item.

I would inform the exact implicit that will be replaced so at least clueless gamer know which of the 6-10 stats in your gear that will be change, so there is no confusion.

E.g

The implicit “ 20% increase melee Damage” will be replaced with a new random implicit, and it’s not reversible, do you want to continue?
