Extremely regular lag spikes

Been having this issue for a couple days now, and for the life of me can't figure out how to fix it. Every 10 or so seconds the ping spikes up and then spikes back down, and I get a really bad lag spike for 2 or so seconds, and then this repeats extremely regularly, as if on some kind of clock.

I've reset my router, upgraded the firmware, turned on QoS and made my pc the highest priority, ran poe with no other foreground processes, nothing works. WinMTR shows no pack loss. Tried wireshark but can't make heads or tails of it and how to use it as a diagnostic tool. Any help would be appreciated. Using Windows 10, all drivers up to date.

Seems to be fixed by stopping my WLAN from constantly searching for new networks. Followed the advice here:

I have been having the exact same issue lately. Happens for me on every single gateway and I am not on wireless, I dont even have a WLAN adapter in this computer.
I also have the same issue. Been happening to me as of 2.6. Get 22ms normal baseline connection to California gateway, spikes to 200+ms every few seconds, then back down to 22ms normal. Even while standing still, even while in my hideout for example. Contacted support and it was never fixed. Listed what I tried below.

I have ran WinMTR, no losses. I have reset/defaulted every setting on my router, windows network settings, POE settings etc. I even gave POE traffic priority, didn't work, reset again. Issue occurs on all US gateways. I am on 300mbit Cat6 wired connection on a desktop, very high end PC can run the game easily (its a network issue for sure, just covering all the bases). I have no other issues with latency or lag spikes in any other game or application at all. Just POE, so I think the issue isn't on my end.

I'm pretty confident that the server is sending large chunks of data that is causing latency for some reason. I can see the lag spikes with the in-game network ping graph correlate to network traffic spikes with Windows 10 resource monitor and WinMTR. But the game send so little network data I don't know how it could cause an issue.

75% of the zones I enter, I stay at a baseline 22ms or so to the California gateway... then spikes to 200+ms and right back down to my normal 22ms.

It would be really nice if we could get some support / networking help from the GGG staff, its really hard to enjoy 3.0 with this frustrating issue.
