Fireborn unique jewel

I was surprised that I couldnt find any info on this when I was googling.

Can someone tell me how fireborn would interact with the bonebreaker keystone passive? Would it transform both the 30% physical damage increase with maces as well as the 30% increased damage with ailments to fire damage?

No, because the ailment mod doesn't have a type specifier.

physical damage with maces will become fire damage with maces

the ailment mod already applies to ignite (and other ailments) caused by attacks while wielding the mace

Thanks for the info. What makes this jewel desirable then? Builds that use fire damage but dont have easy access to that portion of the tree?

One example is if you slot it into the socket between Templar and Marauder start and use it together with Oro's Sacrifice.

Only place I can think of is between Ranger and Shadow, to convert the "Method to the Madness" node cluster into a pure fire damage increase (With some chaos res as well). So if you happen to be a Shadow/Ranger using primarily fire damage, this could be alright.

Below duelist, you can get Wrecking Ball (half of the two handed wheel) and Destroyer (closer to duelist start), I'm using this with an Oro's Sacrifice

So yeah. As pointed out, there's a few places and a few weird builds where Fireborn works. Mostly it seems to be paired with Oro's Sacrifice, because Oro's can't benefit from physical damage mods at all but is otherwise super mean. The usual thing I've seen is below Duelist for the two 2H clusters, again primarily for Oro's builds.

Not sure why Method to the Madness would be a good target for a twenty-plus chaos jewel, but hey. If ya need fire damage, there's a little bit of fire damage, I suppose? Seems awfully inefficient, though.
