Why can't we remove enchantment?
I was experimenting with enchantments on one leveling item (Lochtonial Caress). Wanted to make this item stronger. Yes, I am talking about item with the best rolls. Price of such an item is about 1 exalted orb. It's a very big price for the new players like me (2 months). Players with some experience in this game understand that it is not leveling item anymore. It is not end game item either. It's just garbage, four slots in my chest. Why can't I remove enchantment? Is it normal?
As I understand there's another problem with enchantments on gloves. Some enchantments can make some builds weaker or even useless. In some situations enchanting item second time can be helpful. But in some rare cases players have to use vaal orb on good and expensive item or just buy another one. Guys, can you support my appeal to GGG. We can reroll, add, remove mods, can make white item magic, rare or even unique, etc. But can't remove encahnment and make item clean as it was before. For example, it would be nice to have additional option (remove enchantment) as a alternative reward for completing lab. Or for some price like offering to goddess (some amount of currency). P.S. Sorry for my English. I wish you got all I wanted to explain. Эта тема была автоматически архивирована. Ответы невозможны.

or they could just allow blessed orbs to remove enchantments. Maybe give a warning before removing it first (just like you get when replacing it in the lab). They use the implicit slot after all.

" I don't think I'll use exalted, divine and chaos orbs for crafting in 1 year. I don't think I'll craft something serious in the same period of time. Most likely I will never use them. Dunno. I'm sure only little part of players use them. Does it mean that this kind of currency is unnecessary? |

" Agree with you. Any way to remove it. |

Let me explain why this is not going to be that popular. It's not that I don't agree that you shouldn't have to rerun the lab to clear the enchant for free, but there is pretty much no real purpose to doing so despite what you may think.
Gloves are normal lab with the bare minimum now, 2 trials and 2-3 sections and the last trial. At a high enough level where you would actually care about an enchant, this can probably be done in 5 minutes. Boots are cruel lab with 1 immediate trial and 5-6 sections. Same thing as before, at a high enough level, this entire lab becomes doable in 5-10 minutes if you go for a speed run. Helmets are merc lab if you just want to wipe the implicit, and are 6-7 sections. Probably 10-15 minutes if you're slow-normal speed.I sincerely doubt you can make your endgame skill worse with a helm enchant. Of course, why you wouldn't just do merc lab and get a better enchant is kind of lost to me. You could probably also carry someone through the lab for a price (1-3 chaos) or do it for free if you're feeling generous. So now on top of removing that enchant, you've actually made a few c not including loot. Even supposing all of those reasons aren't enough to convince you to just run the lab, you can just hire someone to do it for you for a small fee. You don't really have to worry about it. As for the enchant making the build weaker, that's kind of niche and unless any enchant at all will screw up your gear, just use spiked/gripped/fingerless gloves, two-toned boots or whatever for the helm. |

I have wanted a way to remove enchants for sooooo long.
I don't really care about some enchants breaking builds, but rather I hate that you can enchant a piece of levelling gear and it's equip level rises a lot. Being able to remove these would mean you can actually use things like Abberath's Hooves or Seven-League Step at the level they are meant to be. |

" Despite what you may think, you're pretty much dead wrong and the purpose is quite simple. Level requirements. Enchants place a level requirement on the piece, and if it's on something you wanna use while leveling you could have to wait. Abberath's is a solid example of a good (and reasonably pricey) item whose leveling use gets ruined by having an enchantment on it. Even with a cruel enchantment it still requires you to be about 30 levels higher than an enchant-less one. Последняя редакция: Shppy#6163. Время: 26 янв. 2018 г., 12:51:26

" So basically a warning about the raise in level requirements would be just as well as this item. I guess why you would buy gear that expensive if you don't plan to use it endgame is beyond me. Just get another one if you screw up, it shouldn't cost much to fix that mistake. The only real impact I see here is to SSF players to which a warning would go a long way. |

" I was talking about option that will make the game more comfortable. Anyway such a little addon won't make the game worse than it was before. We can enchant gear, reenchant it. So why can't we remove it? Instead of rerunning lab several times until you get enchant you need (of course if u want some enchant) or until you get enchant that are not breaking ur build, you can rerun it once to remove it (if we're talking about my suggestion) or, what's even better, you can use blessed orb on it (Shppy's solution). Wasn't the game created by gamers for gamers? Furthermore, all u write don't solve problem with leveling items. As I told there aren't any way to fix ur mistakes and as you said there isn't warning about item requirements. |
