Fenumus' Lair - Boss damage type?

So, we just got wrecked on this boss fight in a 6 man party.
Not sure if it is bit overtuned or I was just not well pepared, but I don't understand what happened tbh.

I am poison immune from Pantheon and also shock and ignite, but my health was just dropping like from heavy corr blood stacks.

So, anyone knows what it going on in this fight?

Chaos damage I believe

Judging from the set property, i'd say it does chaos damage.

Immune to poison doesn't mean you won't take chaos damage.

I am not expecting to not take Chaos damage while Poison immune ofc, but I still don't understand how my life melted so fast even using Mjolner Kingsguard regen paired with LoH gem on Cyclone.

Damage was just huge!

What is your chaos resistance? Negative is essentially a more multiplier.

Its chaos degen (the floor zones at least) and lots of chaos explosions and its definitely high I couldn't leech through it on my cycloner and she does like 4-5k hp/s.

Bit of chaos resist goes a long way.

This boss is rediclously overtuned. Very few players have any chaos resist outside of atziri's.

I feel they have increased the amount of chaos resistance on gear. As leveling I had found many pieces with chaos resistance and other resists and was positive for the first time ever after finishing act 10 without trading. CI build just wastes this boss also.

I guess you died to the degen ground effect.
Its just a tiny AoE and kinda hard to spot on the ground. The damage is just insane. I think I died in less than .5 sec when the ground spawned on my position.

Its comparable to Elders degen ground, but I dont know what dmg source it actually is.
Probably chaos, but I dont know


I soloed him on a spectremancer and died 4 times. Cant remember when that happened last time.
But yeah, hes a dick and disliked the chaos spark novas (innonce bullet hell like) a lot ^^

Now i'm tempted to try killing him with my jugg who i can get 50% chaos resist on and see if it is as dangerous as it is.
