pls Remove randomness from getting endgame content.
i guesss they could replace the randomness of endgame with a 700 to 1000 hour fixed timeframe.
this would really make it easier for casuals, would it? or which fixed time did you think of? please consider, if you say "less", there are players who play 15 to 20 /7 for the league duration and want goals till the end of the league. -- rng is your best friend if you're playing casually. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" i totally totaly disagree with you man. End-game should be the most fun , giving satisfaction after polishing and tweaking your build. It should be a bridge to next stage of gameplay - mastering the endgame -> become better the more you play it. If ppl do 0-1 uber izaro on avarage per temporary laegue per person then whats the point man? What else is there to do after certain point. I dont know how close to 10k hours of gameplay i am at this point but Endgame in poe is simply non existant. Thats why player retention is so low after month, month and half. PEOPLE SHOULD BE THRILLED AND EXICTED AFTER 1 MONTH OF GEARING THEY GET TO HAVE FUN AND ACHIEVE HIER AND HIER ECHELONS OF CRAZY END GAME CONTENT AND GET TO EXPERIENCE IT. " one month of playtime? that's 40h for casuals and 300+h for professionals. where is your sweet spot and how could the game be designed/changed to satisfy both extremes? you just can't hand out goodies which are fixed on playtime (determined outcome) in a game with an open economy. --- for me, the point of playing a game is to not reach a goal. cause a goal is no more once you reached it and this would make me stop playing. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Total bullshit. RNG is the worst thing with that you MUST to interact by the way to progress. We talk not about 'craft' or 'drop'. We talk about access to game content. I have no even one reason to make my build better if I can't get access to content that be hard to my build in current state. This is just pointless, because current state of my build can easily beat X content and I can't get access to Y content. Run hundreds of maps to have a CHANCE to get access? Seriously? Right now in whole world exist a more games that I can play instead of this. This awful 'system' works fine with people who play only in one game and/or can spend into that game all the time, especially if their 'work' in real life is a streaming this game. For 'casual' or 'medicore' players this is not acceptable. " I have exactly opposite point for play. I have goals and stop play then I reach them. And I also stop playing if I just can't reach the goal. This league I spent into PoE less time than any other league I played. Yeah I'm stuck in the same boat of trying to get Elder to spawn on a T15 map to access the Uber Elder fight.
I think it is a bad system much like Lab enchants and I hope it is changed in the future - either by adding a way to trade for entry much like Uber Atziri, adding a prophecy or by guaranteeing after X attempts that Elder will spawn on the required tier. I feel like I'll probably be burned out before next league and my play doesn't feel meaningful let alone enjoyable UNLESS I get lucky and get access to Uber Elder fight. I just want to fight him... I don't care for drops... I just like to have fought and experienced all the Bosses in the game as that is what currently interests me but getting to Uber Elder is such a tedious chore considering all the map trading, pushing elder onto as many T15's as I can, praying to RNGsus for T15 Elder, getting unlucky only to rinse and repeat. At least when I went for a level 100 I could gauge my progress and chip away at it. Also I didn't have to trade as much as I do now (I hate trading especially in the ghost town that is Standard) trying for T15 Elder... I have plenty of T13, 14, 15 maps drop but for some hellish reason they are for other parts of my Atlas mostly. While I'm sure like 6-linking I'll eventually get Elder on a T15... not seeing the progress toward it is a big demotivating factor for me. "The key to winning any fight is simply staying alive." " regarding the access to endgame content: crafting and actually buying endgame access are the only means ggg has as currency sinks. the economic cycle is the same as with a normal government, it spends first and collects back money from the non-governmental sector by taxing people. ggg is letting orbs drop and let's you spending them to access endgame to take them out of th game again. kill one of the item sinks and you got massive item price inflation cause most people don't really craft. " same, that's why i'm taking it slow. " sweet spot - 25-40 hours playtime on a decent geared char with 6k ehp , should have access to all end game content. Whether they can do it is another case, but it should not be gated by RNG. the professionals will roll a new build, as they are paid to play anyways and the game should not cater to people whos job is to play. |

And no one is seeing what is coming with that assumption of "nothing should by gated behing rng" ?
First is rolling the elder influence, next is dropping maps, to finish with items drop. At some point, anyone is gonna find that RNG is not friendly with him / her and is gonna ask for some guaranteed drops. I don't think that the randomness of the elder influence should change, but they could improve the way they can teach to the player how to control it and give more hints to know if you're doing it wrong or not. The whole game is based on RNG, when you understand that what is enjoyable is running after that last ring that would complete your build and not the fact that you actually finish the build, well... RNG won't bother you -that much- at the end. Also, the über elder fight is not mandatory to enjoy the game. I would be more focused on tweaking RNG stuffs that are preventing you to get your ascendancy for instance (trials). Also, 40h a month is not casual. It would mean that you play more than one hour per day or at least 10 hours every week end, which is not at all casual. Casual is launching PoE 3 times a month for an hour or two. |

" so far i know 2 suggestions to fix that: 1) grant free access to all endgame areas. by default a white skeleton just kills you. applying currency is making the area playable and more rewarding. 2) remove maps, let players roll areas on the atlas like with maps now. unrolled areas do not drop items. items which drop in all areas are itemlevel 68 independent of the maps level and items have a small chance to have a higher itemlevel. you only see the itemlevel if you identify a item (also valid for white items). there it is: free challenges. or did you really only want free access to high itemlevel bases? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
