by the way, i know they allow POE-trade-macro, but how about the "additional macros" function of it where you hit (a) quick key(s) to join a channel, kick yourself or enter your hideout. Are those allowed?

The basic rule is that a macro cannot execute more than one server side function with a single click or key press. So, for instance, TradesCompanion has a default button that sends a whisper and kicks a player from the party. That is two server side actions so technically you could get banned for using that tool in that way (but not if you change the default behavior to be GGG compliant). It would be a total dick move to ban someone for that IMO, but technically it's possible.

So, as long as one click or key press results in one server side action it should be ok. At least, that's my understanding. Sarno has a pretty good write-up about it somewhere. He's a "Valued Poster" so maybe he'll be along and link to it.
